Great book! Very informative. I use it in conjunction with myofascial release which is very similar and also extremely effective

Fabulous and easy to understand complex concepts
This is an incredible book! The authors are geniuses, not for the substance of what they write, but for the way, they’ve written it. The Mannering, which they describe the function of the human body is so easy to understand that anyone without any knowledge of medicine can grasp the concepts. Love it!

Picks up where Antony trains leaves off
I love this book it pick up where Antony trains leaves off and will help any manual therapist regardless of style have a better understanding of not only the muscle tissue but the arthrokinematics of the body. I have recommended it anyone in the field

highly technical language
I have to read and re-read much of this book. The text language is so medically technical that it is hard to understand.

Fantastic introduction to Body Reading
This book has an amazing amount of information in it - it is not light reading! It is a reference you will return to again and again. Other books explain anatomy, and some books do a good job of explaining facial release, but this is the first book I've seen that really explains the process of "BodyReading" -- using postural assessment as an important tool in the evaluation of bodywork clients. BodyReading does not itself provide a diagnosis; rather, as the book says, "it is a source of questions (and sometimes answers!) that need to be followed through by touch and/or movement". It will change the way you look at the human body.

Well organized and presented
This book is well thought through and masterfully presented. I will definitely be using it in my practice as a massage therapist and myofascial release provider. I particularly like the illustrations and the notes on body-reading. Many thanks to the author.

Hard to decide between 3 or 4 stars
I am choosing 3 stars because of how boring this book is. It is lengthy and too wordy. The author is constantly trying to present his opinion and the way HE approaches the body and what HE determines to be important rather than just stating facts and letting each individual therapist decide what’s best for them their clients and their practice. Too lengthy and too opinionated. That said, after forcing myself through the book (many times it was just that, sheer force) I can say I do know how to assess and manipulate myofacial tissue. If I were shopping for a book based on what I know about this one, I would probably search for something else with a more focused and objective author.
