Xbox Wireless Controller – Red

Nice controller. Love the color. I had some trouble getting it to link up, but it seemed to be more of a laptop issue than the controller. Once it linked, it has worked very well. Cost a little more than what I could buy locally, but I wanted the red, and couldn’t find it.

I am not a fan of the new D Pad on the newest Xbox controllers. It's hard to find one with the classic D Pad anymore and this one does. This color is also a huge plus. This to me is the gold standard of Xbox controllers.

I have never had issues using this controller with my PC. I am using it with a TP-Link bluetooth adapter that resides on my front panel. I've always been able to press the xbox button for 1 second and have it connect right away my PC and have never had to do any maintenance or trouble shooting outside of replacing my batteries once every 2 weeks or so from heavy gameplay. All the racing and car-centric games I play (Forza Horizon 4/Motorsport 7, BeamNG.drive, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Just Cause 2/3/4, GTA V etc.) work GREAT and show no hesitation switching between keyboard+mouse and the controller. I have not had any issues with stick drift and currently do not foresee it being an issue with my unit.

Okay, let me first start off with this controller is amazing. Feels great, better than those silly white or black controllers.. I mean, red is such a cooler colour. Button press is sublime and my gaming has improved immensely. Except I'm still awful at PubG..However, it did suddenly stop working one day. It would still turn on and I could press the Xbox button to go home, but nothing else worked. After battery changes and repairing, I had to factory reset it. After that my issue was solved!

This is my 2nd one. This is the PC compatible version and it works fine with all supported games.The only grief for me is that it doesn't have a battery level monitor. When the batteries get low, the game stutters, gets frame-rate issues, you experience a weird freeze (cannot control), then it reconnects and you are not sure if your PC is dying a horrible death, your game just got messed up, or your controller ran out of battery. The first time it happened it really freaked me out.Other than that it is perfect. I still prefer the symmetric nature of the PS3/4 controller, but PC support for those is a pain, so I just went with the XBOX.

I am in the process as we speak of retuning the red controller and this is the 2nd one I purchased. (Both red). It was glitchy, the headset plug-in also did not work so the headsets I purchased my grandson would have been a waste. Once my credit applies for both the original red and the replacement red controller, I’ll will try for a third time to purchase another one (blue) and hopefully that one will work.

Controller worked, was in great condition, and lasted for a very long time. Would highly recommend
