Works beautifully to remove scratches, mildew, dirt. I use it on shoes, car seats, belts etc.

Minus one star because this cleaner was a little more mild than expected. I used this product in a last ditch effort to restore an old, dried-out, leather jacket with some faded spots where I had treated some stains. I laundered the jacket with a couple soft towels in my side-loading washing machine (cold, gentle, low spin) at home and used this product instead of normal laundry detergent. The jacket and towels were then put in the dryer on low heat for 20 minutes to jump-start the drying process, then the jacket was hung under a fan for several days until completely dry. At this point, the leather was more stiff, dry, and faded than ever. The laundering was rough on the stitching, but the jacket survived – your results may vary. I then applied Obenauf's Leather Oil. The transformation was magical. The leather quickly became soft, supple and like new. It was also significantly darkened by the oil, which masked the faded spots in the leather. A week later, I'm still impressed at the results enough to write this review.

A custom boot maker recommended use of this product prior to treatment with Obernauf's unique leather treatment. The cleaner is citrus based. My most recent use has been to remove mold on leather motorcycle apparel. The cleaner works great and leaves the leather looking new with a nice smell that fades within a week.

I felt like this product was safe on my leather goods. I used it on my leather shoes as boots before storing away for the summer. I followed up by using a protectant. It cleaned my handbags and shoes very well. You could see the dirt on the pad. I trusted it so I used it on the cushions of my leather couch. They were filthy and I usually keep a cover on them. They came out very well without residue and left a slight sheen. Will recommend and repurchase when I need to.

Gentle on leather, has a pleasant smell and so far seems to work well at cleanung surface dirt off leather without affecting the leather.
