It's easy to replace your own iPhone battery!
I tend to fix the things that I can rather than discarding them. That probably explains why three of my cars are over 20 years old. My iPhone 6s works great, but the battery was fading much too quickly. I replaced it with this kit in about 20 minutes. Now my iPhone works like new and I don't worry about it going dead. The process was simple. Turn off the phone. Remove the two five-pointed screws from the bottom on either side of the lightning connector, then pry the screen off of the bottom using the plastic tool that was included. Tilt the screen up from the bottom and support it with a box or some other object. Remove the philips head screws from the metal connection cover with the tiny screwdriver that was included. Remove the metal connection cover. Pry off the battery connection using the prying tool included. Now the hard part - removing the battery. They are glued down with a stretchy adhesive that is supposed to release when you pull it. But in this case, the adhesive just tore. I ended up using a plastic tool to pry the battery up from the side. Then the adhesive could be removed. The replacement battery came with a different type of adhesive which should be easy to remove if necessary. Stick the adhesive strip with it's plastic piece to the phone, peel the plastic adhesive cover away, carefully align and insert the battery, then plug the connection in. Reattach the connection cover, snap the screen back in place, insert the bottom screws and voila! You are done.It helps to have a hands-free magnifier because these screws are very small and hard to see.

Longevity is the real question here.
It is an iPhone 5 battery that has greater capacity than the original. This battery fits right into the 5 just like OEM and this kit comes with tools if you need them. The real question is longevity, and I won't know that for another year or so. This is an iPhone 5 so clearly I've replaced the battery several times over the years - this is probably the 4th replacement. EVERY OTHER battery I've put in, regardless of brand (including iFixIT) have ALL bloated dangerously somewhere between year 1 and 2. Although it's nice to have the extra capacity, for me the real test is longevity - I will wait patiently to see how long it lasts without bloating before final assessment.Side NOTE: I've replaced batteries many times in several models from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 7 and have only had the bloating issue in the iPhone 5.

Suction cup is not strong enough
I have just installed it and the suction cup they send is not strong enough I had a big one at home that I had to use and that worked. I haven’t used the phone long enough to know how the battery is yet seems good. The gasket that goes around the screen does not come with either

Misrepresentation of product and installation tools
Incomplete instructions and did not provide the tools necessary to open the phone up. Total crap. Just another example of bait and switch.

Their no useable instructions
Instructions are vague, you have no idea how to proceed. The tape for the battery is cheap.Go to you tube to see how to do it
