Woolbuddy - Wool color mix brush (carder) set - MOQ 4sets

I love them. 😻They are great, easy to use. They are reasonably priced. Very good company to work with/buy from.

I bought these to card cotton and they're better than what I used before. The handle on one was wobbly when I got it, but I've used them regularly for about a month now and it hasn't gotten worse. If anything changes I'll update my review.

Pro's: - *Not* a pet brush- they look legitimate! (I bought other cheaper sets and they were just expensive pet brushes) - Feels like good quality - LOVE the sturdy canvas pull-string bag Con's: - there is space between the rubber that holds the tines and the wooden back, so when carding the tines give a little. On "real" carders the rubber that holds the tines is stapled to the wood. It just makes it a little more difficult to use. They are fine carding wool, but I only carded wool with a pair of these for just a few minutes. (Just FYI) They aren't as easy to use for carding cotton.... USE: I do carding/spinning demonstrations for colonialfests and schools. They work great to allow children to get a feel for carding.

I was looking for an alternative to the expensive Ashford carders I have used for years. I use combing wool as an activity in my farm education programs, so my carders get a lot of kid use and I needed some replacements. These are absolutely perfect for what I needed. I also ordered an even cheaper (and smaller) type of carders on Amazon so I could compare, and the Woolbuddy blows those cheaper ones away. Definitely worth the extra $10 for the Woolbuddy ones. They are perfect for smaller hands, but I enjoyed using them as well. I can also see these as being great for felters who want to blend small amounts of color.

Wool beware ... After realizing that it works way better when the wool is shaved I found these to be pure wool magic , but let me share with you the day they arrived my husband decided he'd comb out the rams wool to make him look more majestic.. as he approached the ram who I might ad has become a friend of his he reached out with both brushes and and dug into the wool . The ram looked up as to say brush away my friend . So he won't in again this time both brushes deep in the wool and the fun began . As I watched him try to hold the brushes as he frantically ride the ram around our yard trying to to not hurt the prized brushes I bought .. if you want good memories buy these and ask your husband to comb out the biggest sheep or ram prior to shaving great memories

Works well on wool but not on cotton. I originally bought this too use on cotton because some reviews said it would work with it too but it didn't. Fortunately, I recently got into working with wool and this works fine .

I ended up returning these the same day I got them. I took them out of the package, tried them out on some fiber, and one of them cracked long ways (with the grain of the wood) behind the handle. I was hoping for a better result.

Lightweight and very easy to use for carding. Hardwearing wood handles (I've got arthritis) so needed something light but 'heavy duty' and these work excellently for me. I would definitely recommend and purchase again should the need arise.

A bit smaller than I was hoping for the price but the measurements were there. They come with a cute little bag.
