Works great!
The process of setting it up is really easy! You just need to use the associated standoffs (for me I used the red ones for my AM4 mount) and it’ll mount great! For people using this for their am4 motherboards you need a backplate already as the one that comes with the cooler only brings screws and standoffs for mounting. It cools my cpu really well as I noticed roughly a 10 to 15 degree Celsius decrease in temperature! It’s really quiet as well which I can appreciate and it’ll look good in your pc builds! if you do want more colors find the rgb one but this looks good as is.

Best value for money
I built a new PC and bought this little thing to replace the liquid AIO cooler in my old PC, which is 8 years old now. I've had an old AIO cooler leak before, so I didn't want to risk keeping an aging unit.It cools my i7-7700k at stock speeds just fine. I even ran a CPU stress test and it was stable at around 72C, a little warmer than an AIO, but cooler than I expected, and fully adequate. You really can't beat the value proposition at less than $20.The only criticism I have is that I wish the instructions for mounting were a little clearer. I was able to figure it out, but it took longer than I think others would have.

I can finally play my game again lol
Very good cooler for the price! My boyfriend bought this for me because I upgraded from a ryzen 3 to a ryzen 7 and the stock cooler I had on it was not cutting it- I was seeing temps as high as 90 degrees while playing the sims 4, but after putting this one on the highest temp I’ve seen while playing is 60 degrees and that’s with me only having one fan in my pc! I was nervous at first thinking the temp would spike once I opened my game but it didn’t! I couldn’t be happier :) very easy to install (I’ve never messed with a pc before and this only took me about 10-15 mins.)

Nice cool and quiet
Keeps my a5 5600 nice and cool and the fan speed is minimal causing little noise. Over a year of use and I still am happy with this! Used on my am4 socket and feels just as expected and high quality as the the photos

Very tall
This looks like a solid cooler at a good price, but it is taller than I'd expected. It won't fit in a 4U SuperMicro 846 chassis. My bad for not measuring more carefully!

Cooling Performance and Great Value
Outstanding Cooling Performance and Great Value for $19.38!!!I bought this to replace stock fan for 13 years old i5 3570K that was failing and running constantly at 100 deg. C. After replacement, it runs between 25 to 45 deg. C. Fan is very quiet, and computer runs like new. Only drawback was instruction. There are 3 color coded sets for standoffs for AMD & Intel, but not description what color is for which socket. And instruction is black & white. Go figure. So: Red – AMD, Black - LGA-1155, Blue - LGA 1700.

Great temporary cooling solution
Needed convenient temporary air cooler to quickly test my new 5090 that wouldn't fit with my custom loop. This cooler does the job perfectly. Considering its price, it's cooling capacity is impressive. I hit > 90C on my 9800x3D when loading games (~ 140 W, thermal throttling), and it's only reaching 50C when playing games (~ 50 - 60 W). I do not notice any acoustic issues, as the fan* run mostly at ~ 1200 rpm.* I replaced the original fan with a P12 max. I couldn't mount a T30 on it since the mounting wire is not long enough. Maybe it's possible after removing the rubber pads from the T30 but I didn't bother. I did not test the original fan.The cooler has a sensible vibration while running. Please check other reviews for its long term functionality. I only intend to use this as a temporary/backup solution.

Excellent Cooling, Silent Operation, and Great Value!
Outstanding Cooling Performance at a Great Value!I recently installed the Thermalright Assassin X120 Refined SE, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance, build quality, and overall value. Thermalright has a long history of producing excellent cooling solutions, and this model continues that tradition.Cooling EfficiencyThe Assassin X120 Refined SE delivers outstanding cooling performance, keeping my CPU temperatures significantly lower even under heavy workloads and gaming sessions. The 4 high-performance heat pipes and direct-touch baseplate ensure efficient heat dissipation, making it a great option for both stock and overclocked processors.Silent OperationOne of the standout features of this cooler is its near-silent operation. The 120mm PWM fan runs smoothly and quietly, even when ramping up under load. Compared to other air coolers in this price range, the noise levels are impressively low, making it perfect for quiet PC builds.Build Quality & DesignThe overall construction is robust, and the all-black aesthetic gives it a premium look that blends well with modern PC builds. The compact design ensures excellent RAM clearance, which is often a concern with larger air coolers.Easy InstallationThe mounting system is straightforward and secure, making installation a breeze. The included brackets support a wide range of Intel and AMD sockets, ensuring compatibility with most setups.Final VerdictFor anyone looking for a budget-friendly, high-performance air cooler, the Thermalright Assassin X120 Refined SE is an absolute steal. It competes with more expensive models while maintaining a quiet operation, solid build quality, and easy installation. Highly recommended!
