Haters goin hate!
As an avid miniature painter and collector this palette is a huge step up from the plastic palette i was using from a big name manufacturer of miniatures.Does it do what it is advertised to do?YESPros:Keeps paints alive (wet) for days saving you money in buying more paints down the road. The paint that comes off this wet palette is more rich and colorful then if you were dip right from the pot (paint container).Comes with enough parchment paper to last you at least 6 months and that is if you are painting 10+ models a day!Cons:The sponge does need to be re-wet at least every 3-4 days along with parchment paper. Conclusion: Buy it! It has a bit of maintenance to it, but its not that hard. Run sponge under sink for 10 seconds and replace paper when paint is dry...Total time wasted less than a minute.Last thing i would suggest is to use a water dropper and put a drop of clean water on paint you plan on using for a few days every time you are done. When you come back the next day it should be alive and ready to go.

Works with a fix
Hands down, P3's Wet Palette and paper do not work well by themselves. The paper doesn't stick to the sponge, curls, and dries out your paint in minutes.Replace the sponge, or add a towel, and it's very suitable for blending acrylic paint for mini painting in ONE session, but know if you walk away and come back, your paint will be dry.-1 star for needing a fix, -1 star for not being airtight. Still leaps and bounds past no wet palette, but I should have found an alternate.

OK...Not great.
Sponge for the palette is completely useless and won't stay wet for long periods of time, causing the paper to dry out and curl up. I wound up throwing the sponge out and replacing it with a wet paper towel, which works. Box isn't watertight either. I got this palette for its small size, so that I could pack a quick and portable painting kit that would allow me to paint over my lunch break at the office, or at a friend's house while gaming. The size is about perfect for that- but since it leaks that means I have to be careful transporting it, which isn't convenient. Honestly, you are better off just getting the palette paper and using a disposable Tupperware container with wet paper towels to make a cheap, easy, watertight, and portable palette.

Great size, cheap sponge and paper
I got this palette, because my Masterson Sta-Wet pro palette is HUGE, and I do my acrylic painting mostly on fingernails. This palette is a great size, but the first thing it says when you open it is that it's not water tight. What?? ok.. don't tip it. Second and third thing are that the sponge and paper in this are low quality. They work okay, but the edges of the paper dry up within a couple hours and it stops lying flat anymore. If you try to wet the paper back down your paints will run. I think I'm going to get a masterson sponge and paper and cut it down to use in this palette. It will still be leaky if it falls over, but the masterson palette doesn't even latch so it would too. I guess you can't win them all.

I love it
Been using my for a couple months now. It takes some getting used to an I haven't quite mastered how much water to use, etc. But when ya want to do some serious blending an mixing of colors or you have frequent interruptions (She who must be obeyed does this all the time to me:)) this is the sort of thing that will help tremendously. Just be aware it's a tool an like all tools takes some time to get used to an learn how to use well.

Nicely designed product with great results
I paint miniatures using mostly Vallejo acrylic paints. Being water based they dry up pretty fast in a regular plastic paint tray. This is the cure for that. If I need to mix-up a specific color in a larger amount I'll get the color just right first using the plastic tray then transfer the mixture onto the wet palette and voila I can take my time, even close the lid and take a long break, come back an hour later and resume my masterpiece. Here's a nice trick I learned. Cut a piece of regular household paper towel (i.e. Bounty) to fit the wet palette. Completely soak the sponge with distilled water. Place the paper towel over the soaked sponge. It should be wet but no puddles. Then put the special paint paper over the very moist paper towel. It should be almost dry to touch. Your paint won't run but will stay hydrated, the paper won't roll up and all will be well.

Unusable without a fix.
This used to be a two or three star product because the paper just curls up and wont stay on the wet pallet properly. However wetting and lining the pallet with a kitchen towel between the sponge and papers makes the pallet work like a dream.I love using it, but it was unusable before I found the fix on youtube. Now it holds my paint wet for days on end.

I picked it up just to pick it up and have been happy with it
It is literally sponge inside of a box with pre-cut pieces of paper.does it do what its supposed - yes. does it offer some mind blowing features that can't be done with Tupperware sandwich box - no.I picked it up just to pick it up and have been happy with it.
