This is a great item for kid's who love the states. However, as with any talking toy the voice can get a bit annoying.

Love this! The book was a perfect match to go with the game, State the Picture, so my eight year old and I can play together. Perfect size and so many wonderful facts!!!

I bought this puzzle for my 5-year old grandson since he's shown quite an interest in geography. I loved the detailed graphics of each state. He now knows all 50 states (and their capitol cities)!

Great puzzle, except one of the pieces is missing! Otherwise I'd have given it a five.

Each state has a “Did You Know?” section, famous people list, state capital, bird, nickname and flower. Readers will also see a picture of each states flag. The map is colorfully illustrated and matches the 130 piece puzzle. The back of the book has a glossary of terms. Teachers will find this box of tools very handy for a class room of learning. Parents will enjoy the ease of storage in this handy case.

My daughter is still a bit young to put the puzzle of the United States together on her own, but she had quite a fun time helping me fit the colorful pieces together. The poster helped her figure out which piece went where by acting as a photo guide for her. She also enjoyed looking at the state fact book that accompanies the activity kit. She was especially excited to have a visual of the country in anticipating of an upcoming cross country road trip. I plan to take the booklet on our vacation so that I can read a few facts aloud to her as we pass through each state. Smithsonian Young Explorers: 50 States, which I highly recommend for any young learner, will continue to grow with my daughter and son through the years. Note: I received a copy of this puzzle in exchange for my honest opinion.

Perfect book for kids learning about the 50 states. The book is full of great info and fun facts (I learned a lot!). The puzzle is beautifully illustrated and is another great way to reinforce what the kids learn in the book.
