Great Male Brazlian! (Against Manufacturer's Warning)
First, I am using this to do a self full Brazilian. Local laser hair removal clinics wanted $250 a session for men, compared to $85 a session for women. They all said about 10 session are needed, so I was looking to spend at least $2,500 on hair removal down "there." I figured a $400 investment for a self-Brazilian was worth the risk.Second, the manufacture and FDA clearly warn that this is NOT for Brazilians and should not be used on genitals or anuses. So if you do use it there, do so at your own risk and against their warnings/recommendations. Also, at least test the skin color in those areas using the tool's skin test window as most people are darker down there, and it could result in serious skin burns on dark skin. I'm milk-white, so I wasn't worried.Third, it only works on dark hair. I have dark brown hair, white skin, so this worked perfectly for me. However, I do have some grey hair down there, so this won't work on those. If you have blond hair, this won't work!Fourth, It is a sensitive area and dense hair so I am only able to use it on number 4 setting. It feels like a rubber band snapping against my skin. This is not pain free, but neither is going to hair removal clinic. (I went to one session there, and this device feels the same.)Fifth, you have to do this right after you shave. The heat of the laser goes down the hair to the follicle. If you have long hair, this just doesn't work. Also, if you wax first, then you are shooting blanks (and there is a limited number of laser zaps in this thing). If there is no hair for the heat to travel down to burn/kill the follicle, then you are wasting your time. Do not wax!Sixth, your hair is in different stages of growth all the time. You continually lose hair and grow hair. You don't lose all your hair at once and regrow new hair. With that said, this ONLY kills the hair follicle if it is in the GROWTH stage. So you have to do multiple treatments because you will only be killing a small percentage of your hair follicles on each treatment. Expect about 10 treatments to get everything. In 3 treatments with this (four including the 1st one I did at the hair clinic), I have 60% less hair growth. I love it. It is saving me a ton of money.Only con is it treats a very small surface area. I have to pay attention and move across all the skin area in a grid pattern, moving about 1/4" at a time between zaps. It takes about 20 minutes for me to do my the entire Brazilian area, front and back.

Got PCOS? The Tria MAY Help
Before I can talk about the Tria, I have to tell you my background. I have PCOS, polycystic ovarian syndrome. Excess facial & body hair has been a part of my life since I was 13 or 14. I've bleached, waxed, and eventually became a regular shaver, every morning. I didn't start getting treatment for my PCOS until I was 28. I started taking Metformin (to help with the insulin resistance) and hormonal birth control pills (helps with everything). What made a big difference was Spironolactone. After a couple years of taking this, the excess body hair I had virtually disappeared, It did not however do anything for my facial hair. My facial hair has been the bane of my existence. I felt freakish, unfeminine.. I had to shave every morning and worse, I could feel slight stubble later in the day. I had debated about salon laser hair removal or buying the Tria to use at home for years. What finally motivated me to purchase the Tria was noticing a slight 5 o'clock shadow in recent photos of me. I read every review I could find on the Tria and watched a ton of product reviews on YouTube. They are mixed. The thing is, there are so many variables to each person's success with this product. First, you must have the right skin tone and hair color. You have to be patient. You have to keep at it. If you have the unfortunate variable of PCOS, and something like 5-10% of women of childbearing age do (many don't even know), there is a whole other set of variables that come into play. Are you receiving any treatment for PCOS? If you aren't, then the Tria probably won't work for you. If the Tria is your only weapon in the battle against the hirsutism of PCOS, you will not win. If you've had some success with meds, I think there is a chance the Tria may help you. I bought mine in June of this year. I began a rather intense treatment schedule, more than is recommended and I used it (obviously) on my face and neck. I used it twice a week the first and second week, working up the power level a little bit each time. I think I was on level 5 by the third week. I have used the Tria almost weekly with a few exceptions when I just didn't have time. I noticed my facial hair growth had definitely slowed down and some improvement was evident by the third or fourth week. I still had to shave every morning, but I've been aware for several weeks now (it has been three months of treatment now) that I can feel a lot less self conscious in the morning around my husband and anyone who I might see before I get into the shower where I shave. The morning stubble just isn't what it was prior to using the Tria. There was even a Saturday when I could not shave until late afternoon and honestly, I didn't feel anything on my face that had me very worried about it - that was a HUGE change. I am also less afraid of anyone touching my face and feeling some incidental stubble. I really can't feel it. These improvements have made the Tria purchase worth it for me. I can't say everyone will have the same results though - the variables, you know. I don't know what will happen if I quit taking my medications or if I stopped using the Tria, would all my facial hair horror return. Perhaps I will update this review in a year. For now, I am going to continue using the Tria every week or two and continue shaving as long as there seems to be in a need each day. I am hoping I may get to the point of not needing to shave each morning. I think it may be possible. If you take the big leap of buying the Tria (and it is an expensive leap!), I hope it is worth it for you too. Photos show an example of the slight shadow of stubble I had in photos before Tria on the left and the improved state on the right.

Painful especially on sensitive areas and I didn’t even use ...
Painful especially on sensitive areas and I didn’t even use a high setting because I was concerned about my skin getting burned/irritated which may lead to darkening. Also, it covers such a small part. I’d rather go to a skin laser removal place and have people do it for me. They know what they’re doing, and you don’t waste your time and effort.

Not great performance
I bought it more than two years ago. It was a huge investment for me but it has not worked as advertised. I didn’t use it continuously in the beginning but now for almost six months I have tried it. But the results are nowhere near good. You see some effect but not as much as promised. The battery life is also very bad, in half hour the full charging is lost so you need to make breaks between long sessions which is very irritating. Also the head is very small so it takes a huge amount of time for larger areas.I am going to buy an IPL device and will see if the results improve or change.

Even if that's the best result I'm going to get
I have not used it long enough to say it removed hair permanently, but I can for sure say I used to have to shave every 3 days, and now after only a few weeks of use, I only have to shave once a week and there is less hair than when I shaved every 3 days. Even if that's the best result I'm going to get, I'm totally satisfied and have told all my friends about it. Way cheaper and more convenient than getting it done at the spa.
