Oboz Men's Bozeman Low Leather Hiking Shoe

I wanted to give these shoes a fair review now that I am about to throw them away and move on to a new pair of the same shoe.First off, I gave these shoes a 5 star, but they are NOT perfect shoes. But the pros seriously outweigh the cons. and the cons are an easy fix.The pictures are of the shoes after they are basically worn out. I can get a few more months out of them but the comfort is gone and they are falling apart.I wore these shoes 5 to 6 days a week 10 hours a day on a construction job site since the day I bought them. I have been wearing them for exactly 3 years!! I have always worn DC skate shoes or other work tennis shoes like Merrill and Chinook. I have never had a shoe last more than 1 year until I bought these Oboz.The Pros:* Lasted 3 years* Comfortable right out of the box* True to size* Super durable rubber sole* A nice looking, stylish, sleek shoeThe Cons:* The heels on the inside of the shoes started wearing out within 8 to 10 months. You can see how blown out they are in the picture. the composite heel cap started breaking down and chipping away after about 1 1/2 years. I wore them with blown out heels for the past 1 1/2 years with little issues.THE FIX: Self adhesive heel protectors will stop the wear on the heel fabric of the inside of theshoe, but does not sacrifice comfort.* Arch support was a little high.THE FIX: Replaced insoles with Timberland anti fatigue insoles.* The tongue falls to the outside of the shoe.THE FIX: A lot of shoes do this, I drill a small hole in the tongue and run a small zip tie thru thetongue and the lace hole to keep the tongue from slipping

Really comfortable yet stylish shoe; true to size; great color; highly recommend.

Quality construction, very comfortable. This is my 2nd pair of this type of Oboz shoes.

I have several pairs of Oboz and find them sturdy and generally comfortable. This pair of Bozeman low leather hiking shoe in gray look good and fit well. The one thing that bothers me is the tongues of both shoes slide off to the outside of the top of my foot, where you can't even see the little loop at the top of the tongue. It just feels a little weird when this happens, like the shoe is sliding around. Other than that, I really like the materials and workmanship.

My 3rd pair of Oboz shoes. They simply make the best fit, best looking, best lasting shoe I have ever worn.Yes they may cost a little more but it’s worth it to have a pair last 5 plus years and still look and feel great.This latest pair I put on out the box, no break-in, went for a walk.I liked them so much I wore them to church. Do your feet a favor, try them.

Would not buy again. They are comfortable but do not seem to breathe well. My feet have never smelled so bad at the end of the day. I’m wearing the same socks that I wore with my previous Merrel shoes and did not have the odor.

I have an upcoming trip to France that will involve city walking and also country locations so I needed one shoe that could do double duty. Something that wasn't a running or training shoe that could pair with slacks for a nicer event but could also handle rocky trails or other rough terrain. This shoe really delivers in both areas. It's dressier than a running shoe but built to handle off the pavement travel. Flexible in the front with a bit of stiffness in the midsole makes for great comfort and the grippy sole is ready for the trail. It was true to size and broke in nicely wearing it for a couple of days around town. The long lace pattern allows for customizing the fit for your foot. I highly recommend this shoe!
