Well-designed multi-purpose heat gun.
Having stripped lots of pine doors in my life I can say that an electric heat gun is an excellent tool for stripping old paint, especially from crevices and mouldings. But my old heat gun has only one setting - very hot! Which means I can't use it for many household tasks such as drying painted art, removing sticky labels, softening plastics, defrosting pipes, loosening bolts, etc., etc. This modern 2KW gun is very desirable because it can be finely adjusted for temperatures between 50 and 650 degrees C., making it usable for all the above jobs and more. The temperature it reaches is displayed clearly on an LCD panel on the top surface, making it easy to keep an eye on how much heat is applied.Heat is controlled two ways:- the on/off thumb-switch (trigger) has three positions: Off/Low/High. Then the rotating dial on the left side of the body is turned to regulate temperature within each range. Low range gives 50-550 degrees. High range gives 90-650 degrees. It's very simple to operate. The quality is excellent, with precise moulding of the body and using heatproof materials. The whole thing is lightweight and ergonomic to hold for long periods. I like the extendable heat-shield which can cover the nozzle to prevent burning the hand when doing close-up work. The back of the gun is perfectly flat so that it can be stood up safely for use as a hands-free vertical heater. The cable is a useful 1.8 metres in length, giving plenty of manoeuvring space for work. The standard nozzle is 30mm wide and fine for many jobs. But the makers have included a really useful kit of extras to help with more specialist needs, including: two nozzle diameter reducers (12mm and 18mm) for more concentrated heat; a deflector nozzle for use on wide surfaces such as paintwork; a hook nozzle for directing heat on to pipes and tubing; a flat-bladed hand scraper; a hand shave-hook with three different blades for detailed removal of paint or varnish. The user manual is clearly written in acceptable English and covers all details. The gun is CE marked for electrical safety. For the price of £41 I'd say it would be hard to get better value elsewhere. I really like using this product.

lasted shorter than expected
the filament burnt out inside the gun way faster than planned, took the gun apart to try see if it was a wiring issue, but it melted into the housing and i was unable to remove it

Faultless performance, a very useful tool
RHAEGON 2000W LCD Digital Display Heat GunThe RHAEGON heat gun along with all of the accessories comes tightly packed in a sturdy cardboard box a user guide is also included. The heat gun looks well made and feels nicely balanced when held in your hand. A switch on the back of the handle selects the heat ranges along with the airflow and a knob on the side panel is used to adjust the temperature. An LCD display on top of the unit gives a readout of the current expelled air temperature. The several included accessories allow the heat gun to be used for a wide variety of tasks such as paint stripping, pipe soldering, thawing frozen pipes and shrink wrapping to mention but a few.I have used the RHAEGON heat gun to solder some copper piping and to straighten some coiled nylon tubing. It was especially easy to use for the nylon tube because it can be stood securely with the heat nozzle pointing upward allowing me to hold and manipulate the nylon tube above it. After experimenting with a practice piece of tube, I was able to find the best temperature that softened the nylon without burning it. Soldering the copper pipes was almost like using a gas torch but with the added benefits of being able to alter the temperature and not inadvertently set fire to anything. The only thing I found a bit strange is that the adjustment knob turns anti-clockwise to increase the temperature whereas I would expect it to turn in the other direction, it took a few seconds to get used to turning it left to increase the heat. That is the only criticism that I have for the RHAEGON heat gun aside from that it performed faultlessly and I especially like the extendable shield to prevent you from burning yourself on the nozzle.

Nice build quality
Great products with some features normally only found on more expensive guns. The variable temperature seems to be accurate and the LCD display is a nice feature.

Rubbish didn't last a day
Bought the item and was haply using it until I fired flames out the nozzle had mini electrical fire and now my partners hair dryer throws out more heat . At 30 quid I guess you can't expect much more. Since writing the review the seller went out of their way to either replace or refund the price of the item . So for this reason I have changed rating and edited the review

lightweight and easy to use - very versatile
This heat gun is extremely easy to use, lightweight and versatile. The gun has an on/off switch in the handle that also has 2 power/blow settings. The dial on the side of the gun adjusts the temperature and it is clear what the temperature is from the LCD display. Rhaegon supply additional attachments which are very useful; an attachment that acts as a funnel for directional heat dispersal; a scraper that is used to heat and remove paint from wood; a curved attachment that allows you to heat up plastic tubes so that they bend easily. You really have to be careful with it depending on the use as it really gets super hot but the trick is to keep the heat gun slowly moving (don't stay in one spot). If you plan to defrost your car windscreens on an icy day you need to ensure that you start off at a VERY low temperature otherwise you'll crack the glass. Similarly using it to remove paint from wood, then keep the gun slowly moving so you don't split the wood.

Love the temperature control.
I'm really impressed with this heat gun, although admittedly I haven't used one before so can't really compare it to others. I love the temperature control as I use this on polystyrene sometimes and that will set alight if you use this too hot, so this allows me to be much safer than the heat source that I was using before. This is easy to use, not too heavy and does a great job. I'd happily buy it again.

Doesn't work anymore 😕
I bought this product at the end of November and a bit less of 3 months with it, and with no much use, the gun burned itself
