Faith of My Fathers (Chronicles of the Kings #4) Paperback – February 1, 2006

The world-building is incredible, and the historical context makes it all the more immersive. These books are a thrilling continuation of an epic series—highly recommend for fans of historical fiction and fantasy!

Each book in this series is harder and harder to put down! They are so fascinating I just want to read through in one sitting. I love the fact that Lynn Austin makes every effort to keep things biblically accurate. Throughout her books, there are so many Christian concepts demonstrated and encouraged. Very thought-provoking!

What an excellent, Biblically, historical fiction novel! Highly recommended for all to read The Chronicles of the Kings! Love, family, tragedy, pain & then God wins again!

Lynn Austin’s ability to bring this part of Israel’s history to life is incredible! She has been faithful to the Bible and to the history of this time of the Kings of Jerusalem and the true faith in God. I was never lost in too much description and enjoyed the natural flow of these amazing stories of Kings, war, faith and love. An enjoyable read to gain insight into the life of Israel’s people.

Lynn Austin is my favorite author. I read all of her books before the Chronicles of the Kings series and anxious for Austin to put out another book similar to the ones I enjoyed. Mistakenly, I thought the 5 Chronicles books were going to be like boring biblical. I definitely did not want anything to do with traditional religion, had too much forced on me in childhood. What an idiot I was, wasting a lot of time waiting for another book, beyond the Chronicles. Finally, I picked up the 1st book God's and Kings at the library, started reading and could not put it down. After finishing the first book, I ordered the other four from Amazon. Austin has done an incredible job of keeping near to the biblical history, yet brings each character alive. Like they were real people living in real times, just like us. You will be amazed how enjoyable the series are, ENJOY!

Love how Ms. Austin takes the scripture and weaves a tapestry around this story.. I could not put this book down. I did read all the scripture references and love her imagination and how these characters develop in her telling. Anxious to read the next book in the series. This has also helped in my daily Bible reading. I find myself taking more time to ponder and meditate especially now that I’m actually in Chronicles.

Cool book. Loved the concepts and immersive plot and story. I love how well Lynn Austin weave together the characters relationships with good action.

This book arrived much earlier than expected, which was great. This book was chosen by my book club, so I was able to get a head start on reading it. I haven't finished it yet. The story is compelling. I am curious how the author is going to wrap up the ending since I know the account biblically of King Manasseh's life. The story is not focused on Manasseh but rather focuses on a fictional character against the backdrop of Menasseh's life.
