Iphone Dual Microphone Adapter Cable - Works with Audio Technica ATR 3350 ATR 6550 ATR 6250 and Other Condenser Mics

The splitter/combiner works fine with the two Audio-Technica ATR3350's I purchased. But when I plug the combiner into the extension cable (I guess that's what it is), both mics are dead - no sound into the camera at all. I don't see any reason for the little 8" extender cable anyway; unless it serves some unknown purpose - skip it. BTW, I'm using a Cannon Vixia HF R42 HD camera.

This thing is legit people! I've spent several weeks trying to parse out the best way to record two microphones onto my iPhone with no luck till now! I have been experimenting with using the iPad for making short business video. I was dissatisfied with the audio and needed to use a regular microphone. This adapter worked just fine and met my need.

It worked!!!! It really worked. I've tried so many and this is the first that worked. This video is what convinced me to try it.It worked with my Audio-Technica and my Sony WCS-999r. I've got another Audio-Technica coming so I can use them as you suggested. Please note in your ad that you offer both hot and regular adapters.

Does this Y cable split the microphones between R and L channels?

This cable half works. It does what I need it to do for now but I'll probably look for a better solution in the future.

I have not yet had to use this piece of gear extensively. However, it works well thus far. We use Audio Technica for other things in our tech work as well. So, we wanted to stick with a tried and true brand.

Bought along with the audio technica for use with my galaxy s4. Was told this along with those mic's would allow me to video record. However, it doesn't. Still uses the mic on the phone itself. Not even sure who to contact about this. Perfect.
