I have tried every vegan, GF protein bar on the market. I look for macros first and then flavor, followed by texture - I’m a foodie and I’m serious about my nutrition and I’m so pleased to share my thoughts here. These bars are SO delicious! Macros are excellent - high fiber, low sugars, decent protein, few ingredients. So tasty! Every flavor is so very tasty, they really succeeded with their recipes here. I liken them to grown-up rice krispy treats! The general public keeps looking for a magical protein bar that’s going to taste like snickers and satisfy like a grain bowl. Well, these are the closest. Hands down. :)

Why did you pick this product vs others?:After my fantastic cardio rehab RN suggested it, I started using the Yuka app to scan every food product I buy. The results have been eye opening. Go to the Yuka site to understand how they rate foods. Get the great free app at the usual places.My local Costco carries 10 nutrition bars. Of the 10 so called healthy snacks, 2 were not rated, 6 rated poor (below 50), or bad (below 25). The only two that rated above 50 (good) were Simply Protein (51), and Cliff Bar (51). I used to buy Cliff for years, but after Megan Rapinoe became their spokesperson I decided to look elsewhere. I was buying unhealthy products like Kind (29), and didn't know it.SP tastes ok, and after 27 bars I have grown to like them. They're low in sugar (2g), so don't expect a candy bar. I like the crunchy texture, and they seem to sustain me for longer than Cliff bars- two hours at least. (13g protein vs 9g) They don't melt, or get stuck in your teeth like some bars. They are a little high on calories (170) and saturated fat (2g), but calories & fat is what I'm looking for.The only negative for me is the little dark chocolate bits in the choc flavor tend to fall off sometimes while I'm eating them. It's only a problem if I'm eating one while driving as they get on my clothes or on the car seat. I've learned to be careful.

Overall, these are delightful. I struggle with getting enough plant-based protein, but the majority of protein bar options are either candy bars in disguise, taste like sawdust, or are simply too big and too filling for when I need a little snack. I like the texture, the lightness, and the hint of sweetness that comes from real sugar - no weird artificial ingredient after taste. That being said - I purchased the variety pack and the box of dark chocolate almond flavor was hard as a rock. Like break your teeth hard. Thank goodness they weren't the first one I tried or I might have fought for a refund. I've purchased these again, but only the lemon coconut flavor.

Tastes nice and crispy, and has clean ingredients. Low sugar and high protein.

These bars are great if you’re watching sugar and calories — 13g protein, 2g sugar, 7g fiber. They’re a guilt-free snack, especially for plant-based diets. But the texture is quite dry and crumbly, and some flavors leave a strange aftertaste. The lemon coconut, in particular, reminded me of dry rice cakes. Also, because of inulin and sugar alcohols, some people might experience digestive issues. Good for the macros, but not my favorite in terms of taste and texture.

The flavors are good and they are healthy. I have one e very morning with my coffee.
