My only negative comment is the display.It's not easy to read without the backlight being on, especially the smaller text such as the Units selected.Otherwise it's a good thing to have when flying drones.A really nice touch was they included a small screwdriver to help open the battery compartment.

Does everything i need to monitor wind speed

I bought this for my husband, who is a weather nut, and he loves it. He can pop it in his bag, and measure the wind speed to his heart’s content. He gets the odd funny look from passers by, but if you like to keep people guessing then it’s just the ticket!

I used the BT-100 to measure wind gusts around a refractor telescope.Telescope pointing worsens by at least a factor of 3 during wind gusts.This meter has a sensitivity of 0.1 meters/sec - purchased to measure reduction in wind gusts due toaddition of wind fence.Meter readout via a USB connector would be very useful.

Have used other Anemometers in the past and this one is by far the best, I have always used the cheapest ones before and although they work they can be very hit and miss but because this one has quite a large fan on top it's easy to position and because it has a max button on it, it means you can hold it aloft then take a picture if you have to prove to anyone what the wind speed is, I use it for work for rope access jobs or using in building maintenance units, travelling up and down the outside of large office blocks.
