Great brush for curly, wavy hair
I have 2A-2C hair that I never have enough time to deal with. Every comb and brush I had pulls my curls out. Not the Denman brush! The Denman brush is amazing! The first time I used it, after watching YouTube tutorials on how to use for curly hair, I had my curls without using any product at all! It does take time to do, but the fact it works on my hair without hair product is a time saver so it balances out. I have very long hair so takes me about 20 minutes to section hair and curl around the brush per the YouTube videos. Also, I have just combed through my wet hair and I still got curls, just not the clumped defined curls, more the small curls, which is still a plus and easier after years of trying wide tooth combs or just a detangling brush in the shower. Easy to clean, works detangling and even works on dry hair, although my hair poofed out lol. I have not yet tried to remove any rows but I don't think I will need to. No broken handle but I've only had a week and I have not dropped it yet. I'm hoping the handle stays intact!

Works well for 3C hair
This shouldn't be a question, but when your hair is this thick, it has to be detangled before using this brush. The bristles are removable on this model as well. Usually, I only need to section about 12 parts and it styles well. One thing I would say, is if your hair is particularly thick, do not use this unless it's very damp. It will rip out your hair painfully, otherwise.

Comptable with my afro-textured (4c) hair.
My number one concern when ordering this brush was whether or not it would be compatible with my afro-textured hair. I have the kinkest hair type on the spectrum (4c) and the majority of people I've seen using this brush (Youtube videos) have been of mixed race and/or had loose locks. When I ordered this brush, I intended to modify it by taking out some of the rows so that it would be gentler on my hair.THE BAD NEWS: You cannot modify this brushTHE GOOD NEWS: There's no need to modify this brushMy hair is natural and I sometimes air dry it so when I say my hair is sensitive to the use of styling tools (e.g. combs and bushes, it's no joke). I used this brush for the first time a few days ago and I am very happy with its performance. Before using the Denman I:1. Finger combed through a small section of my hair.2. Combed that same section with my Mebco Tortoise Shower Detangler (also ordered on Amazon)3. Used a second comb with smaller detangling teeth4. It was only after those steps did not I feel comfortable using the Denman brush on my hair. The reason that I did not give this brush 5 stars is because I would not give and comb/detangling tool five stars since combing my hair is not something I like to do lol. If I had it my way I would only use my fingers to detangle my hair, but I realize that is not possible since my fingers do not rid my head of shed hair the way combing through it does.BOTTOM LINE: Denman brushing is the closest I will ever come to combing my hair. Use it right and you get the results you want, use it wrong, and your hair will let you know.

Great for no snag brushing and ease of cleaning
Love this brush. The lack of little nubs on the prongs is why it is not snagging or breaking. I guess the nubs are supposed to help you not scratch your scalp? Regardless I like this prong design much better. I have had it for at least a year and no prongs have broken yet! Also love that it stays clean.

Doesn't slide back on.
I like the brush. The only problem is when I slid the bristle holder off to clean the brush, it won't slide all the way back on. I've tried many times and just gave up. They really need to make the bristle holder slide back on much easier.

Worth the money
I use this brush on my daughters whose hair is thick and ranges from curly to coily and coarse. The brush works great on all their hair types! Thoroughly combs it, and only a minimum amount of hair is pulled out. Just love, love, love.I do find the brush a little uncomfortable to hold and the handle get slippery when it gets wet.
