I purchased this to extend wireless connectivity for my desktop which is on a location in my home where I do not want to go through the extra effort of running a network cable. I have tried cheaper adapters, and they either do not pick up a strong signal, or, despite showing a strong signal, received very weak download speeds.With the ANEWish adapter I purchased, connectivity is strong and download speeds are hardly any slower than with my wired connection (90 MBPS). Make sure to use the driver that comes with the disc, as the default drivers that windows selects can provide some inadequate results.I may be buying another one for another system.

I followed the directions for this exactly, but kept running into one problem they said you would have if you downloaded it incorrectly where my computer kept crashing. I tried a few troubleshooting steps and uninstalling and reinstalling and such but ultimately gave up because it didn't seem to be worth the effore. It would have been nice if it did work.

This was a total failure to launch. I bought dirt cheap and got what I paid for it seems. It wouldn't work, even with the drivers/firmware installed. Not much to say other than that.

I get 100 mb at router but I only get 50 mb at my computer with this adapter and 25 mb with built is wifi in my compter. So it did increase data speed but not to full extent. May be this is due to location or computer hardware is old.

Tried downloading the driver and installing on my 2014 MacBook Pro. Now my laptop freezes upon startup and it jeopardized my entire computer. Think twice before trying to make this work on a Mac! Horrible product
