Good product but, bad seller who did not add my GST details in bill while paying GST

its worth it as the , the performance is really good, there is difference in the booting of the system and its hardly takes 5-10 seconds to boot win7 ultimate , overall performance is good, those who are looking for 7200 rpm hdd must go for it because of the 64mb buffer it never lets you down in data transfer.and finally amazon rocks in its delivery...nice product nice service by amazon.

Feedback after 8 months. The HDD is working very well. I did not like the packing. It just came with a cardboard wrapped on it.

I bought it after my sony vaio's toshiba HD died... This is faster than the previous one.. good hybrid product... Seagate is the best when it comes to HDsSo, Dont worry just buy... The delivery was ultrafast and great packaging as always by amazon! :)

Better than normal hdd. But nowhere near ssd in performance or data transfer.

Used this product as a replacement for my ageing notebook a Dell Vostro 1520, after a few months the disk sporadically stopped working. It appeared to have lost its seating, re-seating the disk sometimes got it back to life.The disk is a hybrid and is not as fast as I would have hoped it to be.For an older machine i would suggest using a SSD instead of a HSSD.Alert:I have now returned the hard disk back to the seller.The seller mentioned in initial email that there would be a refund provided. Causing me to go through the process of purchasing another a new Disk and going to through re-installation, while waiting for the refund.The seller is now claiming the policy is no refund after 3 months and replacement is what they can provide, leaving me out of pocket.I am still waiting for this to be resolved!Watch this spacae.The matter is not resolved. I neither have a replacement nor refund. Infact amazon customer support mislead me into thinking a refund was possible before abandoning the case. Feels more like Amazon is deceitful and covering the seller.Stopped chasing as no response from seller now.Very wrong.

Very disappointed. Received second hand item which was different than the one advertised on Amazon website.This disk has signs of previous use. There is also sign of soldering - attached photograph. The manufacturing date is July 2014 - which means its over 7 years old device. Disk didn't start when connected for the first time. It takes about 2 minutes the disk to be detected by laptop. Tried this disk with HP, Huawei and with Asus vivobook - the same issue.

It took me many hours even after consulting computing magazines to be able to transfer or load a new windows file.onto a HP Pavilion laptop.After physically fitting the drive (difficult but helped by You-tube entries) the HP set up checks said drive checked out good. Then when using BIOS and old drive attached to USB port( using adapter) would not load. eventually i succeeded by making a recovery flash drive from another working laptop and installing this onto the Seagate drive.This method will help make life easier for further purchases of this device

First one faulty but as usual with amazon return and refund was easy. Second one slotted into a sabrent external enclosure and hey presto - a total cost of £28 for a 500gb external hybrid hard drive. Only measured transfer speeds on an older laptop (i5 6th gen with 8gb ram) but a steady 120mbps speed achieved so can't complain. Would be a great bolt on to ps4 (or replacement for the internal drive) or bolt on to ps5 or generally as an external drive.

I'm a great fan of Seagate discs having been a data storage "expert" for most of my working career. This was bought to replace another 500Gb disc of another brand that was throwing up random read / write errors after about a year's use.I had not noticed that this was a hybrid drive, so it is even better value for money than I thought. I suppose the only consideration is not to have a power fail while writing data as there is a risk of it being cached and not written to the magnetic media, but the system it is used in is rarely switched off and relies on Windows power management.So far, it has worked well. Basically, you can't really go wrong when buying from one of the "big" names - and now there doesn't even seem to be a price premium
