Probably the best of the Santiago guides currently available, but extremely basic. Will get you started, but you'll soon thirst for something with more detail and insights.

Useless book. No maps, lists of hotels, or restaurants. This book is similar to a school book report. Very basic info. We travel frequently - I'll stay with Rick Steves or Fodors for travel books.

Very poor book; lacked even something as elementary as a map. Useless as a guide. It was left in Santiago.

This is a pretty flimsy book. It's thin and does not contain any maps, pictures, or useful information beyond basic listings of sights in Santiago. You could easily print more useful information from the Internet or use a free mobile app.

I would not recommend this book in any way. It is little better than a basic pamphlet, in size and presentation. It contains no maps and 5 grainy black-and-white pictures, which give the impression that they were downloaded from the internet. The paper quality is very poor, being what I would expect in an exercise book. I do not usually write reviews but I feel I must, when its clear that a product that is not what it purports to be. I would say that better information could be gleaned, for free, from the Santiago Tourist Information Office.

I wish I had seen the two reviews now showing. This is the least useful travel guide I've ever seen. 63 pages of text including a number of murky black and white photos. Large typeface, pages only 80% used.Five hotels listed, nothing above $106 p/night. "Five places to eat - it's a joke not a Travel Guide". Someone should be ashamed.Nothing you couldn't get in five minutes reading of Wikis or web pages, nothing worth carrying the book with you on your trip.I'd ask for a refund if I didn't think that it's not actually Amazon's fault and I don't want to abuse their excellent customer support.Truly awful.

I too wish I had read the other reviews this is no guide more a collection of brief notes gathered from a google search , no maps a few black and white photos and and index that fails to match the actual page numbers

I found this a very superficial guide and now wish i hadn't wasted my money on buying it.

Badly written (seemed like a google translation from spanish) with bad references and no map of the city. Not worth buying!
