I purchased this to use on a 2019 Jeep Cherokee, and it works great! A few negative reviews mentioned that it was unstable. I noticed that if I don't attach/position it correctly on the door latch (too close to the edge of the latch), it appears unstable. But I positioned it near the middle of the latch and haven't had any problems. If you're looking for a full sized ladder step, you'll be disappointed. But if you need to easily reach the center of your roof rack, it works great. It took all my weight (close to 180ish), didn't cause any indentation into the door frame, and allowed me to access the middle roof area easily. If your elderly or a little uncoordinated, you may not want to use this item. But I highly recommend it to get to those hard to reach places. I don't have room to travel with a ladder, and so this will help on our upcoming trip.

This is a universal step by the way the adjustments are made when you are using it. I needed it so we could use it on our minivan when packing for trips. It is very easy to adjust and it provides a solid level platform to stand on. It works with both the front and rear doors. I no longer have to pack a three step ladder to reach the top when we are packing to leave on trips. It is very easy to use and the quality is very heavy duty. This is a great product and I like the design and that it will work on all of our vehicles.

I purchased this item so that I could quit using a ladder to access the roof rack of my Chevy Tahoe. The step appears to be very sturdy and well made. It installed very easily in my truck and my son was able to step up on it and reach the roof. But because of my car (this has nothing to do with actual product) I believe the bracket on my truck is too high for me to safely use this step. I believe it will be perfect though to access the roof rack on our Jeep. So before you order it, look in your vehicle and see where the actual bracket is that step will be attached to so that you can judge whether or not it will be too high for you to safely access. Over all I'm super pleased with it, but sad it won't work in my truck.

This was the device that answered my hesitancies of the other door step designs. This one evenly distributes the load over a greater surface area than the other designs out there that has a specific octagon shape or something similar. With the octagon style stops of the door design, all the weight is focused on that point and I was just worried about damage to the frame. I'm using it on my Tesla Model Y and I tried it out with this device and as suspected, it evenly distributes the load over a greater surface. No damage or dents made on the frame of a Tesla Model Y at least. Very pleased and would recommend!

Now I can survey my entire kingdom from high above my Prius Prime. While I think you'd have to be feeble, very inept mechanically, or uncoordinated physically to put yourself in peril with this, I've been known to underestimate how inept or uncoordinated some people are. If you're uncomfortable 3 feet up on a 4 foot ladder with nothing to hold onto, proceed with caution. Otherwise, you'll probably love this thing, versus carrying a ladder in your car. I'd say it's almost mandatory for anyone regularly carrying stuff on the roof of their car that they can't easily deal with from ground level.

Use on multiple cars works as intended on all.

When installed on the door latch of our Trailblazer this was too high up and difficult for us to step on safely. It looks like a good idea but didn't work for us. It might be ok for a low sedan.

This does not fit Nissan Pathfinders. The rubber feet dont sit flat. Step never fully hooks. Unstable and accident waiting to happen.

Excellent product, very easy to install and use. My wife uses it a lot when she goes by herself camping or kayaking

I knew my LandCruiser door latches could open bottles, but this is a complete revelation. Love.

I thouht maybe it was a little bit bigger. Can put two feet on but just. A bigger person it waould be to small for two feet. I sm 5’6” 145 lbs.
