It's a great resource for the structural knowledge necessary for creating a more lifelike image in your painting and drawing journey. Highly recommend!

Of all the instructional books out there, I really enjoy the ones Claudia Nice puts out. Painting your favorite animals in pen, ink and watercolor is my favorite. Clear, concise instructions. Great pictures, a plethora of animals to learn to draw and paint. I did find a couple of errors, the most noticeable is on page 56 at the top of the page is a picture of a cats legs/feet and it is mislabeled; labeling the cats "right foot" as it's left and it's "left foot" as it's right. Other than that, this is a "Go To" book for people who want to learn to paint animals. I would say it's a good book for beginners to those more experienced. The book also explains some anatomy and how to measure for proper proportion. I highly recommend "Painting Your Favorite Animals in Pen, Ink and Watercolor.

This is an excellent book for learning and understanding the structure and emotions of different animals, even if you don't use pen and ink or watercolor. I have little actual art background and am pretty much self learning; this book is full of detailed information about ears, paws, different ways to show coat texture, etc.I was very pleasantly surprised at the detail that Claudia Nice covered and would recommend this book highly to anyone truly wishing to paint/sketch, etc, animals with accuracy. She also covers the actual watercolors she uses on the different paintings to give you an idea of how they work together to add depth and interest.Highly recommend this book to anyone with an eye towards portraying animals in all their glory.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! EVEN THOUGH I ONLY DO COLORED PENCILS WITH SOME DUAL BRUSH MARKERS , THIS BOOK IS A GREAT INSTRUCTIONAL FOR COLORING ALL TYPES OF ANIMALS. IT SHOWS HOW TO DO FUR, FEATHERS, EYES AND SOOOO... MUCH MORE. THIS IS NOT A COLORING BOOK BUT INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO. I HAVE LEARNED MORE ABOUT HOW TO DO FUR, FEATHERS, SHADING ETC. CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD! I AM CONSTANTLY RETURNING TO THIS GUIDE ! I PURCHASED THIS BOOK LAST MARCH FOR MYSELFAND BOUGHT THIS ONE FOR MY MOTHER-IN-LAW. SHE IS A FANTASTIC OIL PAINTER, SHE IS ABSOLUTLY LOVES THIS BOOK!

I bought this book for information I was not getting with a sketching class. It had examples as well as information about techniques needed to use for drawing. I started using pen and ink. This book also had information needed for this and examples of the pen and ink. It showed the different physique of the animals to show how to draw and ink them.

The only way to tell it is a used book is by the name labels previous owners put in and the gift signature. Very pleased with the condition and the content appears to be just what I wanted.

Not as helpful as I had hoped although there is good information for someone who has not drawn/painted animals before

Aunque el libro narre sobre pintar animales, básicamente se reduce a pontar perros y gatos, y algo de caballos, los dibujos son bonitos, pero si buscas variedad este no es tu libro, más de la mitad son solo cánidos y felinos domésticos.

Claudia Nice is really going to help me pint a beautiful picture of my golden retriever.. she makes it look very easy. Her books are absolutely brilliant.
