The Best Plant Protein Powder (single ingredient)
I love that this tastes good, blends easily, is unsweetened, gluten free, vegan, etc. etc! I blend it in smoothies or mix it with plain yogurt. Finally a protein powder that doesn't upset my stomach. I don't mind whey protein but it wrecks my stomach. I have this on subscribe!

High quality, pure protein source
I am so happy to have found Sprout Living. I not only appreciate their company values, but approach to quality ingredients. It's extremely difficult to find single source vegan protein powder that isn't some version of pea. The pumpkin and sunflower give me a nice blend of different nutrition and amino acid profiles.Since there are no additives, flavorings, etc. the taste won't be neutral or vanilla like a protein blend. But I like this because it allows 100% control over my mix. I find both the pumpkin and sunflower mild and clean, without needing to add additional ingredients (fruit, pumpkin puree, cacao powder, vegan yogurt, etc.) However, it blends with those nicely and even a pinch of salt really hones in the flavor. I'm hooked!

Pretty good but not perfect
I bought this because it's an organic plant based protein made from simply pumpkin seeds. I was leery that it may taste weird, but the taste was absolutely fine. I didn't taste it one bit in my smoothie, which is exactly what I wanted. My smoothie was chalky though. Not unbearable, but chalky. But other reviewers posted about a tiny silica packet in this, which is a royal pain. I don't know there is or isn't one, but I felt like I had to basically sift this into another bowl before using, which of course made a mess and added time to my smoothie prep. To avoid having to do this every time, I may just sift the entire bag into a large container to be sure I don't miss it.I did post a question about this today and am hoping the manufacturer chimes in to say if there truly is a packet in here. If there is, I'd likely drop my review down to 3 stars because of how annoying this is. I get that maybe it needs one, but it should be larger and more obvious so I'm not constantly worrying if I'm inadvertently ingesting it. But if there isn't one, then 4 stars it is. This seems super nutritious and pretty flavorless!

No flavor or texture weirdness!
Finally! I bought the pumpkin seed protein powder. The non-dairy protein powder of my dreams. No flavor—really! And no weird graininess! It’s amazing. I love that it is one ingredient and no weird additives.

Misleading calorie content
I’m giving this 3 stars because of the misleading advertising. The photos provided show the product has 102 calories per serving, however, the product I received shows 140 calories per serving. I chose this protein powder because it’s vegan, simple ingredients, and due to its low calorie content. I’m counting calories but would like more protein and this is a bit excessive for only 20 grams of protein. The taste is palatable and the texture isn’t too bad. But be ware if you are calorie conscious like me , it’s actually 140 calories.

My new protein love...
I really really like this product and I have tried many "alternate" protein powder types and mixes. I finally settled on a different product that was ONLY pea protein, which I still use regularly, however, I wanted to alternate with some other non-dairy or non-soy-based protein shake powder. I also wanted ONLY the single ingredient type, no longer interested in mixes, meal replacers and shake bases, etc.I wasn't even aware that a product was being made with pumpkin seeds/pepitas, which I really like -- so I decided to give this brand a shot. I am very PLEASED with it. It's pricey, but I think when one wishes to buy something that is "clean" and unadulterated, it's important to understand that cheapness is going to be based on cutting corners and using lousy inputs. After tasting this product, it would be hard to convince me that the inputs in its formulation are anything other than very high quality.I can't really address the blend-ability of it because I tend not to use protein powders in smoothies, rather, I use it in other ways and one of my favorite ways is in my go-to organic coconut yogurt. I would not expect it to be much different from any other protein powder that does not include some form of silica (which is usually used in small amounts to make it more mixable.) So, if you have some experience with that type of powder, then I could confidently say that it's going to be the same for blending purposes. Ultimately, all of them can be blended if you follow a certain technique (which is not the subject of this review.)Lastly, I really enjoy the subtle hint of nutty sweetness! That pale pale green makes the yogurt look like a treat from an ice cream shop, and I don't even like ice cream, but I sure enjoy seeing it, as it makes me respond like a kid does.I liked the initial order of it so much that it's now in my monthly subscribe and save.

It's helped my hair and nails grow fast and thick.
This is wonderful. I mix this with Terrasoul Superfoods Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Protein Powder so it becomes a complete protein. I don't want to purchase a protein powder with sugar or sugar substitutes. This and the rice create a wonderful complete protein powder. Taste is a bit chalky but honestly I'm not taking it for the taste. I need more protein so this works for me. It's helped my hair and nails grow fast and thick.
