Why 4 stars?→ Actually 3.5 stars but upper limit approximation has been usedNote:I lost my book or else would have uploaded the pic of contents and preface for 3 rd EditionNevertheless I will try to find and upload once I get itReview:It's amazingly well structured it starts withthe mathematical preliminary then goes into the quantum world and steadily shifts to the Energy Kinematics followed by the Decay process of Alpha and beta and from there the content is as of any book on Nuclear Physics would follow.Is this book special?Krane's book is super awesome but only drawback is that it's not upto date and you see nuclear physics has been progressed vastly in last say a decade?! Yeah!I am particularly fan of Kaplins Nuclear Physics - Just WoW! What a beautiful presentation! Little update needed here and there but they are minor updates and can be avoided here I need to emphasize that there is no draw back I see on Kaplins Book!Now this book explains concepts well and it's indeed a nice book to start with.Thus I suggest to side read this book along with Kaplins book as primary reference.If you are smart enough just go for Kaplins Book it's beautifully presentedThe author has taken so much effort to make this book viable to all the readers.My Respect for that! (To Author)ConsWell ... Solved examples are far less but I would have really appreciated if author would have provided Answers (not solutions) to each unsolved problems in parentheses right in the corner of each problem.Here is a fact!Indian Authors have zero interest in preparing the so called solution manual because frankly (in sarcastic tone) who has the time..... hahahahahaHere is an open challengeIf you are preparing a book provide answers to odd problems and work out on solutions manuals for instructors.Then they say I presented a great book but students failed to recognise my work?!I mean ... How could you be so ... Complete yourself ... To see that you presented an incomplete work. No matter how master piece Your work may be ... Incomplete master piece has less value then complete intermediate piece of work!Good Luck To You All!Happy Learning!
