KEENMen's Newport H2 Closed Toe Water Sandal

Great sandals....my second pair!
This is a great sandal. I wear it sometimes along the shore with tides are coming in or in streams and getting wet and drying is zero problem, but mostly I wear the most of the day and they are stable, supportive, and most of all they don't slip on the foot or on wet or rough surfaces and are hard enough/protective enough, sole-wise to not let a rock hurt my foot. Also the toe protection is great. Note: These sandals look great, never need to be cleaned up, they just seem to repel dirt! Lastly, I got this second pair because, my first pair which was probably 7 years old finally wore out (but only the soles, not inner part against the feet nor any of the upper, no wear at all actually but on the outer sole. 6 STARS FOR DURABILITY and for repelling dirt and stains. No break in time either.

WELL worth the higher price. Comfortable and great looking sandals for outdoor activity.
Keen makes great footwear, no question. I purchased these sandals to hike the Paria Canyon where a significant amount of the hike is in the river. My bad. Although I heard that wearing these sandals in the river will drive you nuts, I did it anyway. I wore them for the first two days before resorting to my back-up boots. The openings on the sides allowed for small pebbles to intrude which, of course, settled into the bottom of the sandal. Stopping to get them out was a pointless endeavor because the first step after doing so would only see more pebbles find their way in. If it weren't for this particular condition, these sandals are absolutely perfect. They are comfy and very durable. I have a pair of Teva sandals that I've owned for nearly 20 years and they are still going strong. The soles on them seem like they will last for eternity. The Keen sandals are, even though only 1 1/2 years old, seemingly similar in their durability. The side openings make for quick water drainage (the reason I bought them for the Paria Canyon hike), therefore lightening the load when traversing through rivers, streams, or even at the beach (where I wear them while surf fishing). Snug is how I would describe the fit, but, that is the fit you want while hiking, especially when encountering many water crossings. Aesthetically, they are great. They can be worn for everyday activity, not just outdoor excursions (just don't wear socks because popular culture says that's a no-no...................unless you have a mullet, too).

Comfortable, long-lasting, great for all terrains, wet or dry.
Bulletproof!!I have had a pair of these for 10 years! They have been absolutely bulletproof!! I wear them 3 or 4 days a week, weather permitting (which it usually does, here in our Houston,TX suburb). Finally, today, on our usual 5 mile walk, the sole seperated & is flopping as I walk. I have read about how the stitching has seperated, etc on some, but That is still like new! They are still comfortable on my wide & flat feet. I’m ordering a new pair now. I replaced the bungee cords, b/c they did wear out, a simple fix.

Comfortable and durable
Had a pair of these for years and years, durable sole, comfortable, decent arch support, and provides some protection for your foot. My only complaint is the toe cap captures debris and will not let it go. Sand especially will pack hard into the toe cap until you have to remove the sandal. Surprised they haven't created some holes or slots to help alleviate that problem yet.Bought a pair of Teva after my Keens wore out since I'd heard good things about them for years and they absolutely destroyed my feet whether the straps were tight, loose or somewhere in between.

Falling apart in less than two years of summer only use.
Falling apart in less than two years of summer-only use.Are these shoes only supposed to last less than two years?I'm 67, 6'1" 190lbs. I use them only in summer and jog one mile every couple of days, I walk through streams with them now and then. I was expecting a few more years of use with these. Is there a better brand to purchase for durability?

smaller (both shorter & narrower) than expected
This pair is to replace an old pair of Keen sandal (Venice) of size 10.5. The old one is of size 10.5 which is a bit loose but the straps keep it tight. The old pair's bottom fell off (split in half) during a Greece trip and even a lot of crazy glue as emergency fix didn't work. Actually through the years, I have applied glue several times due to various spot needing regluing. So the rest of the trip, I had no sandals. I fixed it with shoe glue after the trip. I ordered the same size without paying attention of the note of ordering half size up. This pair is narrower and shorter compared to my old 10.5. I still manage to wear it just getting in and out is not as easy. When I noticed the note in the item description, it had passed the return window. Just hope the bottoms of these sandals won't split during my next trip. Don't understand why there is such glue failure with these Keen sandals. Do they use Elmer glue?
