Lots of extra work, for less hair removal. Disappointing.
Have been epilating legs for 20 years and got through a few epilators and, each time I get a new one I am shocked at how much more efficient the new one was compared to the old. This is the first time I have been disappointed; takes out less of the hairs so have to go back over several times and it doesn’t get the shorter hairs at all so you don’t get a good end result for all the extra work!

Not impressed
I loved the cordless, rechargeable features of this epilator. I've only used power ones previously and found that the connections eventually fail. I like the design of this model too although the light didn't seem to help. Unfortunately, as an epilator, the BRE605/00 gets a thumbs down from me. Whether it's the curved shape of the 'tweezers', the change to ceramic from metal or a combination of both, but no matter how I tried, the hairs remained attached to me! My previous, bog standard metal tweezered Philips model took out even the shortest hairs. The BRE605/00...well, I gave up and have returned it. So disappointed Philips.

The best option for bikini line
To be frank, and having used a few epilators in my lifetime, the ceramic blades of this epilator are more suited to bikini line and overall area compared to the metal blade epilators. I am very pleased with this epilator, it is perfect for my requirements. I swim every day for an hour and I have found this epilator very useful for bikini area. Being able to use the epilator in the bath and also being able to clean it very easily in water has a distinct advantage when using it for this purpose. The slim long handle is more ergonomically friendly for reaching difficult areas. I would look no further for a bikini line epilator. The curved shape of the head is more suitable for legs. However I'd rather use a razor. Hair removal is painless and in fact quite satisfying once you get used to it and persevere, so don't be put off when you first try this epilator. It is a little pricey so I would expect it to last. I have had it about 6 months so far with no issues. The battery seems to carry on going even on red - flashing and the battery life is quite long it lasts for quite a few days' use. All good.

Simply useless
I bought this epilator to replace a Braun Silkepil which I’ve had for 10 years (and which still works perfectly!). This product is shockingly bad - completely useless. I have dark hair but pretty thin and Satinelle simply doesn’t pick up the hairs, not even the longer ones. I tried different positions and it still does a really poor job. Technology seems to have taken a few steps back with epilators or I may have chosen the worst one. It looks slick and it’s nice to hold, the light is useful, but it doesn’t deliver on its core functionality.Have sent it back, I hope to get a refund.

Disappointed
This product is a disappointment for the money, the tweezer heads don't come close enough together to remove all hair. I have had better performing epilators from boots own brand for less than half the price. I would look elsewhere as this is not the premium product I was hoping for. It is wider and comfortable on skin, easy to use just not very effective on the hairs. I am having to go over the same areas again and again and still not hair free.
