I bought this for travel, but I use it everywhere now. It’s light, easy to clean, and the size is perfect for day to day activities. I’m waiting for the next sale to get this in the teal color.

This bag is perfect for travel. I felt everything was safe and secure. It is light weight and easily accessible.

The good: This bag is exactly what I wanted. It’s roomy enough to carry a pair of shoes, water, passport, and credit cards. It isn’t exactly the epitome of style but it’s perfect for carrying around Europe.The bad: This bag stinks like a fish died in a diaper bag! I am usually not one to complain about smell but this is atrocious. I don’t want to return it because it’s exactly what I was looking for, so I’m currently airing it out on the clothesline overnight in hopes the smell will go away. I also plan on spraying perfume on a tissue and sticking it inside. Luckily, I don’t leave for two more weeks so I have time to resolve the issue.Update: After days of trying to air this thing out, I had to return it. The smell made me nauseous; there’s no way I was carrying it around Europe. I received a replacement this morning and, thank goodness, no fishy smell!

I used this bag for a month in Mexico City and it was exactly what I needed. The bag is large enough for a Lifestraw Go filtered water bottle, glasses in a case, sunglasses, and a long-sleeve top or compressible puffy jacket. The zippered RFID pocket is large enough for a coin purse and passport along with credit and debit cards in their little slots. I really liked the pockets for organizing everything, not too many and not too few. The included flashlight came in handy a few times. The outer water bottle holder is small and only good for a 16 or maybe 20 oz disposable bottle, which is why I had to keep the LIfestraw in the main compartment. The main zippered compartment and the front-facing zippered compartment each have a latch on the zippers so you don't have to worry about pickpockets sneaking them open. I definitely felt worry-free with this bag in crowded situations, including the metro at rush hour.

Purse is bigger than expected but will be perfect for traveling.

Great quality and construction, but absolutely way too big for a purse when traveling. I guess it depends on how one travels though… If you’re a mom and need a bag that is smaller than a diaper bag, this is perfect! The side zipper for the water bottle area would be perfect for a baby bottle. Also note that not all zippers lock up.

I bought my first Travelon crossbody 4 years ago & began using it as my everyday bag. Two years ago I added a small backpack to use as a carry-on bag and for day trips in Italy, but I tired of having to take the pack off and set it in front of me every time I needed to fish out my sunglasses or wallet or rain gear. I like this larger crossbody because it has the same basic configuration as my small one so all my stuff is where I’m accustomed to reaching for it, and it’s large enough to hold my water, rain gear, & snacks also. I plan to leave the backpack and the small crossbody at home and only carry this larger crossbody on my upcoming trip to France. Pack lightly!
