Suicide Squad 1: The Black Vault

Super fun
One the best comics I've read. Beautiful illustrations. Interesting plots. So many villains and almost no Batman. I love Harley Quinn but now I like the rest of the suicide squad too.

Decent: Not Particularly Great, But Not Terrible Either
I wanted to give Suicide Squad a try, so I read this. It's not terrible. I wouldn't call it great, but it's also not terrible. Some of the panels are funny or touching, the art is good, and the story is decent. Also, Harley Quinn as a character works WAY better in a team than she does in a standalone series. Her brand of crazy needs something more serious to play off of.

One of the better of the rebirth genre, gotta read for any suicide squad 52' fans.
Fell in love with the squad all over again, definitely follows the new 52's style of S.squad. this volume while mostly showing Flagg's coming to terms with being the new leader..also presents how this version of the squad will be portrayed ,u also get the squads 2-3 page origin stories. .D.C. definitely shyied away from the problematic New Suicide squad books, that made me very happy personally . In this volume you get Waller, croc, deadshot, boomerang, katana,Flagg,Harley, doc.Jane, enchantress, obama and some new characters.

Very fresh-feeling; Zod's portrayal and the introduction to the new character of Hack were the highest points in a book that already compares to that of mountains.

Great story. It starts off wicked similar to the movie but then branches out to its own thing.

It was ok
The storyline was ok and some of the artwork especially of Harley Quinn was brilliant. I was disappointed when I saw the modern day racism card brought in of Deadshot calling Captain boomerang “You Racist”. Since when had the suicide squad turned on each other over race relations? It’s pathetic that it can’t even be left out of graphic novels so a reader can enjoy comics as a getaway from modern day racism. With that said, the story was ok...Would I buy it? Maybe, for the artwork...Will I read the follow up? Maybe. It’s far from a perfect GN but if you can handle the petty squabbles that just wouldn’t happen in a suicide squad then it’s worth reading.

Lacks substance
It's a good entry point for people new to suicide squad or people that have seen the film and want to check out the comic book's but there really isn't any substance here unless you count the short backup stories in the back but they are very short and only a few characters feature. The story is so so and the art is obviously great as expected, it's Jim Lee!!

Good place to start
It's a good introduction compared to the Adam Glass run in the new 52. If your new get this. It's a good place to start especially for people who just seen the film.

Good start for suicide squad novices
Jumps right into story mode with quick debrief of who’s who. Got a bit mixed up, as a novice in the middle but last few did well at explains some back stories for them. Will buy vol 2

In general a great read and decent backstories and Chracter Art
My favourite comic so far, the action is great, the story is quality , this was the first comic i got and it made me want to get more comics and made me really start to like comics in general, the detailing in the art for the chracters and that are really decent and I recommend it to anyone thinking about buying their first comic 👍🏻
