Sturdy, long lasting and safe.
The media could not be loaded. Bought this to replace one of our other mega balls, which survived 5+ years of rough play on a regular basis. We are only replacing it because a massive unexpected wind storm carried it away, never to be seen again...For context, we have 18 horses (minis to drafts and everything in between) that have access to the mega balls in turnout 4 days a week. The covers (sold separately) take a bit of a beating and required some minor mending. The actual heavy duty rubber ball took a lot of abuse, and held upBetter than I could’ve ever expected. We have started using this large 40” ball for equine “soccer”, where teams of riders try to get their horses to kick the ball to a goal. It gets a little wild sometimes and the ball takes a real beating but it’s holding up well.Soft enough to not cause injury too. One of our QH geldings likes to grab it by the cover and swings it around. Despite bopping himself on the head with the ball he hasn’t gotten hurt. Sturdy enough to last, but soft enough for safety.Brownie points for the extra plug/stopper...We have one large 40”, a medium, and two of the small mega balls and I can’t recommend them enough. My advice would be to purchase a cover, that will provide extra protection from teeth, scratches etc...the attached video is of the small mega ball, by the same manufacturer/same listing.

Not Sturdy enough for grassy lawn
I bought this for my herding dog to play in the yard with. She knows "touch" means to boop with her nose and so first I taught her how to play with this ball (as opposed to fetch). After I inflated the ball and taught her this, she loved pushing it around with her head and paws, but unfortunately the fun only lasted for about 20 minutes. I kicked the ball lightely and she started chasing it but the ball hit something in the flower bed on a bounce and then deflated before she got there. I looked in the area and couldn't find anything remotely sharp, just mulch, basil, and rosemary. Pretty bummed for the cost of a heavy duty ball that can't even handle grass and flower beds. I wouldn't recommend to others looking for something for their dogs to herd unless it's inside and carpeted. Just not worth the money.

Stands behind their products
I purchased two of these and neither one will stay inflated! Apparently they were defective because the last one I purchased elsewhere stayed inflated till a storm came and moved the ball to an area where it got caught on the fence and had a visible tear. They accepted the return and sent two new ones which are fine. Thank you for standing behind your products.

Large ball and runs with the wind
Purchased for my sheltie to work herding skills. First day out, it was very nice but a little windy and ball takes off a great distance. have not had it long enough to determine if chew safe or not. Wish it was a bit heavier without adding sand which I have not done, but thought about and it was make the ball very unstable for herding. FYI, I recently made a second purchase of same Horseman Brand, but a size smaller size hoping my sheltie can have more control.

More durable than I anticipated!
I have purchased three of these 30” balls for my German Shepherd. She absolutely loves them and it’s her favorite outdoor toy. The first ball I received I didn’t purchase a cover, so it did pop rather fast. My fault, not the product. The second one we got a cover, but the cover was severely oversized. I do believe we were sent the wrong size, but it’s also what made the ball last so long. She went about a year before puncturing a hole in the second one, and I believe it’s because the cover was so loose she could grab onto that instead of trying to go after the ball itself. The third one I purchased the cover did fit perfectly, but she popped that one within ten minutes. The quality of the ball itself is wonderful, and I think I’ll be purchasing another with a larger cover so there’s some slack. If you’re purchasing this for your dog just don’t be surprised if they puncture it! This most recent purchase it seems that they changed the pump to blow up the ball, and I will say that has gone down in quality.

A cheap yoga ball would be a better choice for dogs
This product is sold as a ball for horses, but I purchased a 30" ball for my dog. He absolutely loved it! He also has a few "indestructible" balls in the 10 - 14 inch range that he enjoys pushing around with his head and paws, but he would leave those by the wayside to play with this big one. While it's fully inflated, the ball is unbiteable, so despite being made out of relatively flimsy rubber (compared to the hard plastic of the other balls) it was safe for Roscoe to play with. I avoided getting a fabric cover, because I figured he'd be more apt to grab that. Still, it did not seem to take much damage despite being pushed into bare bushes, tree trunks, brick walls, and chain link fences. And there were numerous collisions because Roscoe is a 50 pound pit bull and can't see over the ball while he's pushing it. Fortunately, the ball is soft enough to cushion the impact.I only gave this three stars because despite being too big to be used in all but the biggest of indoor spaces, it is clearly not an outdoor toy. I seems to be a relabeled yoga ball that loses air like crazy when it's not being used. This might not be a terrible thing for horses, but it allowed the ball to become soft enough for Roscoe to grab with his teeth. As you might imagine, that spelled the end for the ball. Its surface is also a mud magnet. Once again, it's for horses, so the intended user is not typically let into the house, but if used in the morning when the grass is dewy, it will quickly be covered in a thin layer of mud that seems to be able to soak into fur and pant legs. It managed to pick up mud where there was no visible mud and transfer it to me and my dog. Playing with it during the afternoon was a great deal less filthy. The included pump is a joke. It was cartoonish how it failed to work: popping its fittings loose one after the other. I eventually dug out my compressor and blowgun.

Ripped right away
Ripped within 10 minutes of playing with it first the first time. Definitely not anti-burst.

Fun but short lived with Dogs :)
If you give it to your dog prepare to laugh...but also it may only last 30 seconds with teeth and nails....still fun though!

Keine 40"
Den Ball habe ich zusammen mit einem 40" Cover gekauft. Er passt bei weitem nicht hinein. Er erreicht maximal 30", wenn überhaupt.Schade.

Does not inflate to 40 inches at first.
The media could not be loaded. Bought a 40 inch ball and a 40 inch cover. As you can see the ball is not fitting in the cover. It did not come with a pump. The smaller ones do but big size does not. I used a air pump at a gas station to fill it.I’m updating my review, about a week after getting it I tried filling it more and it did. Still not quite filling the 40 inch cover but getting there. I think it will eventually reach 40 inches. After refilling it 3 times it now completely fills the cover. Used a leaf blower with a special nozzle attachment to fill.
