The scale seems both consistent and accurate for my needs. I use it in a residential kitchen for measuring out very small quantities of ingredients like yeast and salt for bread making, and for ingredients that need to be measured out with a high degree of accuracy for chocolate making. I wanted accuracy within ~.25 grams and although I have not extensively tested it, it seem to fit the bill.I really like the scale and I'm happy with my decision to purchase it. There are a few minor things about the scale that are with noting. 1) The platform of the scale is metal, but if you leave acidic or salty liquids on it, it will rust. This isn't a fault, this just happens with metal and it's worth being aware of. 2) The clear plastic cover protectes the sensitive platform on the scale from being bumped, but it doesn't physically attach to the scale or snap on. 3) The design makes it easy to clean powers and small amounts of liquid off of it. Although it's not waterproof, the design of the platform and the fact that the LCD and buttons are covered with a solid sheet of flexible plastic means that it's easy to clean the scale.Although I was pleased with the accuracy, my scale was draining batteries in about two weeks regardless of how frequently are infrequently I used it. I contacted the seller 8 months after purchasing to see if it was covered under warranty. The seller stood behind their product completely.

To adjust shut-off time:Hold down tare button until "180" is displayed. Each subsequent press of the tare button will cycle through the four possible settings in seconds: "180","120","60","0". "0" is for manual shut-off. When the desired setting is displayed press the mode button. The word "PASS" will be displayed. Excellent battery life. Two AAA alkaline batteries I installed over 9 months ago still working. Accuracy okay without calibration, but will benefit from calibration. When received, weight was overestimated by .13g for every 100g, so at 100g reading was 100.13, 200g was 200.26 , 600g was 600.78. After calibration with a class 6 500g weight accuracy was +-.02g throughout the 600g range. Display is backlit with large easy to read digits. The response time is comparable to scales costing many hundreds of dollars. I have one of the more expensive scales, an Ohaus, but for weighing food I prefer the Digital Gram Toprime scale for it's portability.

Easy to use is an understatement. Extremely and consistently accurate, passing all my little challenging tests :-}.Great price for value IMO. Just make sure to buy the version that is made to measure what you need to measure. Eg., I wanted a scale to weigh very light things, to make medicinal adjustments. This particular scale also works for weighing out food portions up to 600 grams or 21 ounces, which is a few ounces heavier than a pound. That is the important thing to know. Make sure it will weigh what you want to weigh.

Very nice scale. Starts up quickly and is very accurate, down to the thousandths of a gram. The display has large numbers and larger buttons that makes it easy to tare and change mode.The only thing I don't like is that the numbers are a hard to read if you aren't looking fairly straight down on the scale. Not a big deal at all, just a minor annoyance.After using this for a bit it seems to be off by about 1-2% which isn't that big of a deal but is annoying.As a 20 year member of Amazon I rely on independent reviews when shopping and I will always try to be as honest and impartial as I can and will try to provide helpful insight into the product. Please remember you need to purchase a 500 g weigt So that you can calibrate the scale… people don’t understand that by just putting a nickel on it that it does not calibrate the scale properly. You must purchase the appropriate weight that the scale calls for in order for it to work or to show accurate weight

I have been using this scale for the past six weeks to weigh out my coffee before roasting… and before grinding my daily espresso shots. It is easy to set the tare with a quick button push… but even more convenient is that it automatically sets the tare if you have the empty container on the scale when you turn it on. I also appreciate the multitude of different measurement units available and especially the ability to measure to a hundredth of a gram. It's helped greatly in gaining some consistency in my espresso shots.

I got this as a secondary scale, so I could use one just for food recipe measuring. This little scale is very accurate, I may well replace my 1st scale with another one of these. My old scale seemed to jump weights if I walked or stood in a different place. This one does not. Easy to operate, the use of the TARE button, is great for measuring multiple items in a container when making things like your own salad dressings. Great adjustment if you place another dish on it or bowl, very accurate scale. I was very pleased. Again, will most likely buy another 2nd one of these, to replace my 1st scale from a different seller. Due to the accuracy of this scale. Great value for the money too. Highly recommend for various purposes, DIY e-liquids, cooking/food recipes measurement, or for those who DIY jewelry, etc. Great value makes it affordable to have 2-3 of these for various purposes. As I believe in using different scales for different purposes for safety reasons. Highly recommend the seller and product. 5 stars!

These have done me good so far. Slight miss match on weight if using up to the max but that is only rare.
