Thanks to a review below, and looking at a working closed-end zipper, I finally saw that the end (or stopper) piece goes over fabric, not the teeth. My advice? Buy a ready made zipper, it’s worth the extra cost.

This product arrived very quickly, given the current circumstances. As others have said, no instructions, so I looked online. Took a bit to figure out you have to remove some teeth and thread the zipper one at a time after separating. It works fine once I figured out how to work it. They are a bit too big for my use, I should have gotten #3's, but that not the product fault.

Came with absolutely no instructions on how to put zipper pulls on tape. Searched and watched multiple videos but was unable to add pulls to tape.
