Dokon L-Shape Garden Sofa Cover

I do find buying the cheaper covers is a better buy for me in the long term. Living fairly near the coast in Dorset we can get quite a hammering with high winds etc in the winter months, and have found that expensive covers never live up to their 5 / 10 year guarantees. You can spend between £100-£200 on a large cover for a large outside sofa and table set like I’ve got, and I’m just not prepared to spend a couple of hundred quid on one that doesn’t last any longer than a cheaper version. I use covers on my sofa set all year round, and put it on every night during the summer months too as we’ve got a huge conker tree on the border fence between us and next door in our average sized housing development garden. I’m also loathed to be taking all the cushions in each night in the spring / summer months, so my covers are used a lot, and need to stand up to some pretty blowy weather. I was really impressed with this cover for £37.99 when it arrived. I felt thick and of a good quality material. It is sort of fabric-type feeling on the outer side and a more poly waterproof type material on the inside. Another problem I have is getting covers to fit my garden sofa as its a corner sofa, but has a rounded corner, not an right-angled corner. It’s also equal lengths both sides. Anyway, this cover was a very good fit even though the cover was for a cornered sofa, not a rounded corner sofa. I just bought the size which was a bit bigger than our sofa (to allow for the angled fit of the cover. It’s absolutely fine. It just has a bit of loose cover at the back of the sofa on the rounded corner. Not a problem at all. It has strong, squeeze in and release straps for each corner of the sofa and one in the middle on the inner and outer edges. For me its easier to lift up the sofa leg and slide the strap underneath the leg, rather than keep doing it up and undoing it. Yes the cover is a loose-ish fit….which in hindsight over the years is better because if the cover is all strapped, clipped and pegged down tight I’ve found previous covers rip and get holes in them, due to not having any give in them. Another thing I look for is the quality of the material of the cover. They seem to have “D” ratings I’ve noticed. This one is a 600D rated one, which is the same as the expensive branded covers. The thinner covers, some of which I’ve had in the past, can be as low as 200D or 400D. The Higher the number, the better quality the cover is. This is excellent with its D rating too being a 600D. Since buying this cover in early June 2023 we were hit with a torrential rain storm one night, the rain was coming down in sheets. It was one of the heaviest rain storms I’d ever seen in Dorset where drains and gutters just couldn’t cope. The cover was on protecting my cushions and sofa, and not one leak anywhere. I was very very impressed. Today, even though its late June its been very very windy. Yes the cover has been lifting as it has give in it, but its not going anywhere because of the straps holding it all down. It’s holding firm this cover. It’s obviously early days, but so far I’m very very impressed for the quality and the £37.99 I paid.

Really pleased with the cover, great fit and quality. The loop's for the leg's are very useful and have kept it secure during high winds, providing all year round protection.

I bought this in February 2023, so I have left it a while to write a review, because I needed to see it in use for a good period. I was immediately pleased with this cover; despite the winds and heavy rain this cover stayed on the furniture and did an exceptionally good job of keeping it dry. Two and a bit years from purchase the weather has got to the cover in some places, the handles dried out in the sun and came off, a four inch rip at the seam on the arm is evident and looking inside you can see small spots where the waterproofing is starting to come away. I do not know what a fair time for deterioration should be. It has certainly weathered some epic storms, winds, rain, frost and baking sunshine and it has done its job. I'm going to sew up the rip and duct tape some of the lining, as I think this can survive a little while longer, Cost wise, I will be looking to replace before winter, so looking at costs it will have cost me £1.18 per month, which is acceptable. Overall, I would buy this again, because I have not had one last as long as this before.

Great cover and seems to be working well so at this point would recommend .L shaped one. Also keep tight

Quality is excellent, fantastic material thick, straps to hold it onto the garden sofa. I googled to find the top best garden furniture covers and this brand came up. I think it’s a good price for the design and quality. No more running in and out with the sofa cushions. Am delighted with it and it came the next day bonus. My sofa is L shaped and it has protected the cushions from dew plus it’s handy when it rains. It takes seconds to put it on. Will be great protection in the winter but I will store the cushions away. Read the reviews I did, best buy on here. Measure your furniture and match it up.

We were looking for ages for a cover for our garden sofa and decided on this one. Having previously had bad experiences with covers, I was reluctant to get over excited about this! We have had it for a few months now, and as we all know, the summer in Britain has been particularly wet with some bad storms. We have periodically taken the cover off to check the cushions and they have always been dry. It's a good quality material, reasonably thick and the stitching seems very secure. It has clips for each leg which stop it being like a parachute in high winds. We have a 'V-shaped' garden sofa and this cover is quite large. The size of it often makes me feel like I can't be bothered to go to all the effort of taking it off and putting it back on again, but I definitely think it's one of the best covers we've had and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it

Been using this for over a year still does its job

Went for this one to protect our new furniture in the wonderful English summer monsoon. I went for one that was in the middle in terms of cost and had good reviews. So far though I'm not very impressed. The fit is only ever going to be as good as your ability to order the correct size. Our furniture didn't quite meet the size range available but it fits well enough albeit with a slightly long side. The material seems thick enough and the seems look well manufactured, as do the lower clips which we don't need to use with our style of furniture. However as you can see in the pictures it's clearly not coated in a water repellant. This is frustrating as one of the key requirements is for it to be water proof. If water is absorbing into the fibres as can clearly be seen then it's going to fail pretty quickly. On checking the sofa underneath I can certainly feel moisture though it isn't "wet" just yet but bare in mind I've had it a few days. I wouldn't trust it with the sofas cushions underneath as well but it will suffice for now. In terms of value for money by motorbike cover was about a tenner but is full waterproofed and with a little more material would be enough to cover the sofa so really this was too much. A shame as it looks pretty good when dry. I might have to spray some fabsil on it once we get our 1 day of sunshine.

Sehr gute Qualität. Die Abdeckung wurde für eine Lounge mit den Abmaßen 275x215 gekauft. Sie sitzt nicht so stramm und somit perfekt. Die Lounge steht zwar unter einem Terrassendach, ist aber dennoch teilweise der und bei Wind der Witterung ausgesetzt. Wind und Regen hatten wir bereits und dank der vielen Befestigungsmöglichkeiten ist sie nicht verrutscht und dank dem Stoff sind die Polster trocken geblieben. Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Die Abdeckung hält wirklich Wind und Wetter aus, egal ob Wind oder Hagel und auch Regen, es geht nichts durch und sie ist super stabil. Ich habe sie bis jetzt nur im Sommer verwendet, daher kann ich über die Nutzung im Winter noch nichts sagen.

Habe diese Abdeckung bereits zum 3. Mal gekauft. Bei Wind und Wetter und den gesamten Winter hindurch schützt sie meine hochwertige Lounge. ABER: Nach zwei Jahren ist der Weichmacher raus, die Flexibilität lässt nach und richtig dicht ist sie dann nicht mehr. Für den Preis ist das aber okay, eine neue Abdeckung war in nicht mal einem Tag geliefert. Meine absolute Empfehlung.

Passt super und ist gut verarbeitet. Wir warten auf den ersten Regen :)
