Wonderful little book
My wife said: "Reminded me of reading Anne of Green Gables and the quotes brought tears to my eyes. Looking forward to starting on Anne's bag. I think I will watch the movie while I'm working on the bag. The patterns look very clear, like they will be easy to follow."

Green Gables Knits Patterns or Kindred Spirits by Joanna Johnson
I have loved "Anne of Green Gables" for more than 70 years (I read the book the first time when I was nine years old) and have loved to knit for about the same length of time. I am working on "Diana's Hat" now and think I have finally found a hat pattern I am going to like. The next project I look forward to is "Rachel Lynde's Table Runner". I have always wished I could see a picture of the leaf patterned bedspread Rachel made as a wedding gift in the story. This could very well be a smaller version of the pattern. I want to thank Joanna Johnson for doing the book! One unfulfilled dream in my life is to see Prince Edward Island. As I knit the patterns from this book, I feel a little closer to the dream.

A Slender Volume
First admission: I have never read any of the Green Gables books, though I have seen a few minutes of the PBS series. So tying these patterns to particular characters essentially means nothing to me. So why did I buy the book? Well, I'm a sucker for knitting books, what can I say?The eight patterns in the book are nice. I could see making several of them. And the book is attractive. If I were a hard-core Anne fan, perhaps I would have wanted more, but as it is, for the price it is...it's just fine

Beautiful
As soon as I read about the release of this knitting book, I knew I wanted it. I put off purchasing it until I was ready to knit one of the patterns however. Once received, I fell in love with the book. From the photography of the knit items, to the quoted excerpts from the books, to the patterns themselves this is a great book.I'm currently knitting Anne's sweater and have yet to find any errors. Additionally it well written and easy to follow. I definitely recommend this book to any fans of the Anne books and knitting.

I love this book
I love this book, I made the men's vest for my husband and the pattern was easy to read. The only problem with it, I wish it had more great patterns. I am going to knit the apron next.

Well ...
The projects presented are well photographed and the description is ok, but I was a bit upset as the entire book is a little bit flimsy (paper and cover) and with so few projects. Also these projects can be found also elsewhere. As I am somebody who takes this kind of book as an inspiration it fell short on my expectations. If you are looking for something in the mood of Anne and you would like to do exactly one of the projects, you are fine.

Visiting with old friends from the Anne's series.
I really like the patterns in this book, but I was hoping for more than 8 patterns. Every pattern is presented both written and charted. I need to finish what is on my needles right now, before I start Miss Stacey's shawl... oh! that one is SO lovely. Then Di's hat.... and maybe Marilla's apron.

green gables knits
I was a bit disappointed because there were so few patterns in the book. I have been a fan of L.L. Montgomery since I was eight and my mother was as well, and I guess I just expected more. The price is inexpensive and I am glad I purchased it.

Très joli
Peu de patrons mais ils sont bien et représentatifs du thème. Pour une fan d'Anne comme moi, ca fait rêver.
