Virtual Reality Dinosaurs Gift Box - Illustrated Interactive VR Book and STEM Learning Activity Set - for Ages 8 and Up

I saw this and was on the fence on if i should buy this for my nephew who is 8 and loves everything dinosaur, even swears he wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up so I took the plunge and bought this for him. He absolutely loves this book and the VR capability. The dinosaur Rollercoaster is his absolute favorite and he got it on Christmas and it is now January 2nd and plays with it everyday, he is still obsessed with this and calls me every day telling me all about it and all the cool stuff from digging out his own dinosaur, riding a VR dinosaur coaster to learning new things about some dinosaur being smaller than I thought. He calls me everyday to talk about that he loves this and he spits out new dino facts he learned from this, gives us quality time bonding even though i live 16+ hours away. This is a must buy for the little dinosaur lover in your life!! Will every kid love this ,no but for the right kid it is an amazing gift.

This was a HUGE hit for my 4 year old! (He was a bit scared at first but after a month watched all of it without getting scared. I would likely say this toy is for six years old and up though.) Everybody in the family had to take a turn and we bring it to everyone's houses to try! So fun and a great price! We will be ordering the other books soon!

For grand kiddos,once.parents assisted with initial setup they enjoyed their gift.

I previously wrote a poor review on this ... here to say complete user error!!!!! There is an app you download onto a cell phone then the cell phone sits in the front of the headset. Ha! 27 and very tech illiterate. I am now very excited for my son's birthday I haven't even wrapped it yet I keep using it it is very cool. Any dino loving kid would surely love this !!!!!

I got this for my kiddo, but honestly I want it to myself lol it’s so much fun and educational. I’ll probably come back for the others especially the one about the Ocean.

I wanted to adore this. Sometimes, when it works, it's pretty cool - you put a phone into the glasses and stare at a page until it loads some VR info to immerse you. Great for little minds right? I'm surprised, though, that my kid wasn't super into it and hasn't really asked to do it more. In fact, he's more interested in the extras that come with it, it seems.Part of this is the app is junk, which is required for the VR obviously. It doesn't work on all the pages. There are also zero instructions or ways to troubleshoot - you just kind of stare at the page and hope it loads. The VR clips itself are fine, though nothing interactive and amazing. It seems like the app does have some interactive experiences however they absolutely do not work for us. Judging by all the 1-star reviews on the app store, we are not alone.The biggest thing (pun intended) is you can't use a modern large phone. So we had to dig out an old iPhone 6 we had lying in some drawer and its battery lasts about 10 minutes a go. I didn't notice anything about that when deciding to buy this, which is also unfortunate.So, it comes with a great book and some side activities, and when it works it's interesting for a bit. Prepare to be frustrated and under-whelmed though. Cautiously recommended, and not worth the price.

I got this product for my grandson who's eight and loves and can name every dinosaur that exists. I can't wait to see his face when he opens this gift. It was highly recommended on Deals and Steals on Good Morning America.
