Is it possible to connect this to an ipad for use with garageband?

I use an adapter that goes from Lightning to USB & 3.5mm out, so I can plug in my controller and speakers/headphones. The same adapter also has a lightning input for charging. Works great with Garageband for iOS. I now even connect a wireless bluetooth keyboard to use garageband for iOS keyboard shortcuts (just like on Mac).

We need to purchase a laptop for this which will also be used for homework. Does this have minimum spec requirements? We don’t have a huge budget

I heard that the sounds are not great. are the build in drums equal or better than MPX8 and good enough for performance with a looper?

The MPK Mini is a fabulous tool, I run mine through a Boss RC-202 Looper, connected to a fab sound system, your only limitations will be your own imagination. Have Fun.
