Foster Grant Gavin Fold Flat Reading Glasses

I found these readers at Walgreens years ago, my Dad loved both pair since it was a BOGO & even gave a pair to my Adopted Bro. Then I couldn't find them anymore. Both wanted a spare pair & one needed a higher level.Both loved it fit in their shirt pockets, they don't fog, they self adjust to your face without sliding down your nose or putting pressure on your temples. There is no need to unfold anything they pop out of the case ready to go & flop down into the case without issues. The nose piece looks odd but it's comfortable.I borrow them from time to time for something I need a little more magnification for or very small print. I get why they like them. Now I found a supply again. Everyone is happy with their readers.

I like to carry a set of glasses with me everywhere I go and these fit the bill. They come with a lightweight, very tough, case and the case fits perfectly in the leg pockets on my Carhartt pants and shorts.The glasses are ready as soon as you open the arms, just like a regular pair of glasses. No fussing with telescoping arms, or additional hinges. The hinges that are there are spring-loaded, so they open as soon as the case is open.I've been carrying these for at least six years, maybe more. I've never broken a case nor had the glasses break in any way, and I think I'm rather hard on them. The only reason this is my fourth set is that I've unfortunately needed to increase magnification that many times...Highly recommended if you're looking for a compact set of readers for daily carry.

PROS:1. Great to carry in my purse when I need to read small print when I’m out and about. They’re thin and don’t take up a lot of space in my purse.2. I love the way they fold so they’re very thin.CONS:1. The reading area is so small, you have to tilt your head a good bit in order to see through them and not under them. It’s really not a con because you can see the design and they’re made to be thin. It’s just frustrating and causes neck pain in ended up just putting them in my purse to use when I’m out.2. I think they’re over priced.

The fact that these are foldable and the case is very flat is what appealed to me about these glasses. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try them out since they arrived broken and the case was obviously used (see pics). You can see how warn the inside of the case is in the second pic. C'mon Amazon! You can do better! I've ordered a replacement pair. I'll update the rating when I get them.UPDATE: Got the replacement glasses the next day! These are comfortable and slim enough to fit in my pocket!

Great reading glasses to carry around town. I always have these in a front pocket of my jeans... or end up regretting it if I forget them.They are very quick to pull out to use for menus at restaurants or reading product labels at stores... and just as quick and easy to put away. I think the way the hinges bend to fold into the case would also make the likelihood of damaging, such as by sitting on them, much less.The nose supports aren't large so not ideal for long wear, but for me these are only used when out and for short periods.These are a brilliant design I now would not want to live without. I'd rather have not grown old, but these make it a bit easier. If only they'd get rid of the grey in my hair.

while they are very flat and stylish as another customer pointed out they no longer have adjustable nose pieces and the fixed nose piece pushed into my nose and was uncomfortable. i do not recommend these until they fix the nose piece

Love the slender design of the foldable glasses. They are spring loaded so they fold right into the slim case which ends up being only an 1/8 of an inch thick. Very very durable.
