Surpassed expectations
I’ve had this for about a month and I must say it is a nice machine. Bought it for a finished basement area that does not get good air circulation from the central AC. It will have that area feeling comfortable in a matter of minutes. Love the settings options and the user interface on the top panel. It’s not too loud for me, but you definitely know it’s on. The sound reminds me of a window unit air conditioner I run it just about everyday even when we are not in the area because I feel like it helps whole house humidity by dehumidifying the whole finished basement area. The unit is well made and feels like a quality product. Be warned. It is heavy. Much heavier than I thought it would be. But I guess that is just how these machines are made. I love the large bucket and I have to empty it every 2 to 3 days. If I had any critique whatsoever it would be about the bucket. It is hard to empty it without spilling it all over yourself. I recommend emptying it outside as opposed to a sink or toilet to give you a little more leeway for spills. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a large room dehumidifier.

From 5 star to 1 star -- quit dehumidifying in only 5 months!
I wrote a glowing, 5-star review for this dehumidifier one month after I purchased and all was working great. However, in less than 5 months of light use (June-Oct), the dehumidifier no longer dehumidifies the air. The fan runs, but the humidity level is unaffected -- in fact, it slowly goes up because this unit is doing nothing. It seems you get what you pay for. 5 months use before failure is TERRIBLE. Customer service has been non-existent.To ensure the unit is not dehumidifying, I disconnected the hose to collect water in the bucket. Nothing. This is with the dehumidifier set to "basement" or if I manually set it all the way down to 35%. The humidity level increased from 58 to 60% in my basement using a separate gauge.I do not run this dehumidifier constantly because it does not need to run that often. I typically will set it to run about 5x a week overnight for maybe 10 hours at a time, which keeps my basement at 50% humidity or so.I contacted the manufacturer a few days ago and have not heard anything back. I'll update this review if I get a resolution to this. But for now, I cannot recommend this unit.Update: Manufacturer FINALLY got in touch with me and offered to send another dehumidifier or just refund my purchase price. I took my money back, since it was approaching winter and I don't need to run a dehumidifier in the winter, plus I didn't want to go with this no-name brand after my poor experience and reading similar failures others were experiencing. I ended up getting a G.E. branded 50 pint dehumidifier that is far superior to this one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HDC6LMH It has WiFi capability and scheduling capability, so I don't have to manually turn this on every day. And the GE app records your energy usage, so that is nice info to have. Plus, I have a GE dehumidifier that is very old and noisy, but the thing still works after 15 years. This new one runs so quiet, even quieter than Airgjob. Well worth the time and hassle to just get the GE unit and spend not that much more money for something that performs better, has WiFi/app features, is quieter, and will last much, much longer.

Had the design features I was looking for - so far, so good
Needed a replacement for our Frigidaire 70 pt which lasted 3 years (2nd one from warranty replacement). This unit took over a month to arrive, but I understand there may still be slowdowns at port of entry, plus UPS delivered to the wrong address a few miles away. I decided to wait for the order because this unit seemed to have superior design to others I had looked at. Stopping for 8 minutes every 8 hours, automatic defrost at 45 degrees, and the vent on top (instead of on the side) were the most important features for me, as well as the warranty. Customer service is also very quick and responsive.Note: This Airgjob is actually rated by DOE as a 50pt unit, so don't be shocked when it arrives. Customer service explained that 70pt is the 2012 rating, and 50pt is from 2019, and as they note, it will draw at different rates at different temps, etc. I had noticed that Frigidaire also discontinued the 70pt and replaced it with a "50pt", probably because of the same reason. In any case, this seems to draw about the same amount of water per 24 hrs. (and bigger bucket than the Frigidaire which is nice), so decided to keep it despite the discrepancy. Has only been running about a week, but so far, so good. Noise level is fine, equivalent to the Frigidaire 70pt as well. A nice plus is that it pulls about 30% fewer amps than the Frigidaire, so can save on electricity too. Hope the protective design features will help this unit last longer.
