Fun find
I bought this for my grandkids, hoping to grow some rollercoaster riders for the future. My daughter says they liked it! Happy to find it, she also said they liked the art.

Cute book
I purchased the book to coincide with my unit of Force snd Motion and to enhance my Writer’s Workshop lessons on onomatopoeia, author’s craft and language. This books lends itself as cross curricular very well! It’s definitely worth the purchase!

Awesome storytelling
We LOVE this book! My first grader recently had his first real roller coaster experiences: first one that wasn't too scary or fast, but he LOVED, and second, a huge wooden coaster that was too fast and too bumpy for him. We ordered this book based off of some of the "you may like this also" recommendations Amazon makes, after reading several of the reviews. This is a perfect book for this age group. Just as a story, it's very fun, engaging, and imaginative. The illustrations are fantastic and I love the amount of detail that is put in to help convey the individual emotions and actions the story describes. From a learning/teaching standpoint, we also ordered a copy of this book for my son's classroom. The story takes a relatively simple concept and brings it to life, without being totally overwhelming. This is a great learning tool- the story is short and sweet (I was worried it would be very wordy because people said it's so descriptive and helps kids learn to expand their ideas into a full story), but the vocabulary brings it to life. Also, the text sprawling across, around, and all over the pages really helps bring these words to life! My 3-year old really enjoys it, as well as a couple of my son's older friends who read it with us.I'm so glad we bought this for ourselves and for my son's teacher!

Delightful Story for Young Kids
This is a very nice story with humorous illustrations. It's ideal for the 3-6 crowd and my son used to love following the intricate drawings of the roller coaster tracks with his finger. The pictures have a lot of amusing detail (sort of like Goodnight Gorilla where there's almost a backstory told in the pictures) and we used to play a game where we'd try to find some of the sillier people standing in line. The story itself is entertaining (even if not inspiring) and it's the type of book you'll likely read over and over again--and won't mind doing so.

A book with so much fun detail
This is one of those books that my 4 year old keeps coming back to. There is so much detail and thought for every character in this book. There are really no background characters because the facial expressions and humanity of each little character arc is just so fun and sweet. I have read this book no less than 50 times at this point and either my son or I notice something new every time we read it. He also loves tracing the route of the roller coaster with his finger and narrating the ride. If you can find them, Boot and Shoe and Santa the World's Number One Toy Expert by this author are highly recommended, too.

Fun read with cute details
My 2 1/2 year old is obsessed with roller coasters and he requests this book every night before bedtime. He loves to point out the pulley and chain on the roller coaster track and find other fun little details. It’s a cute, short story of a girl riding a roller coaster for the first time. My 4 and 7 year olds also enjoy it, but my 2 year old claims it as his 😂

Amazing pictures
Read this to my kindergarten class and the faces on the riders was what drew them back well after initial reading. Little children sometimes like things that are a little scary.

Just OK
Story is about the experience of riding a roller coaster, so it’s very simple and needs strong art to engage. I found the art a little disappointing, the style wasn’t very strong and I felt there was a real lack of texture and pattern that could have been used that would have made the art really meaty and the book stronger.
