Das Cover ist hübsch - aber der Rest des Buches wirkt enorm lieblos zusammengeschustert. Eignet sich bspw. als Geschenk aus meiner Sicht überhaupt nicht. Für 45 Euro bekommt man ein leider sehr hässliches Entlein von einem Buch. Die Inhalte mögen interessant sein - aber die Umsetzung lenkt zu stark davon ab.

"The Singing Athlete" is a dazzling achievement, and a must-have, I feel, for both young singers in general and for young singers who might have an interest in teaching voice. This book acts on the idea that singing is an athletic activity like any other, and allows the reader-singer to explore this idea through a comprehensive range of specific, targeted physical drills which illuminate the body for the student, allowing them to feel and to train the myriad ways we move and move again in song. I sometimes say to my students, "oh, a decade ago, I might have said, 'let's try that again, and engage your core'." Now, instead, I can suggest, following Andrew, "let's do a drill for your external obliques, and see how you respond." I say to my students, too, that in the future, this is what teaching and studying voice will look like.

I think you would be able to work as a doctor after reading that book. So much knowledge was put in there. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Buy it!!!

I am a singing coach and a singer and this book is full of superb exercises that are easy to use on singers and even on choirs.

The soft cover was cut by trimming the pages of the book, and it came stained. They did not maintain the expected product quality.
