Amazing!
Most amazing battery ever. Lasts a lot longer than expected and my story below explains better as to why I needed it. I was impacted in the Northern California Public Safety Shutoffs by PG&E leaving us in the dark for days at a time. I have to sleep with a fan and we refuse to run the generators all night just for fans. I bought the Dewalt battery operated fan because it was highly rated and with my dad being in construction we have so many Dewalt Batteries and chargers its unreal. However I ran into the issue of the batteries dying in the middle of the night which would wake me up and force me to put another one on leaving me wide awake when I had work. I purchased the battery because I had read it's the best not only for tools but the fan would run for 10 hours on high. Let me tell you that it did and it even did it even longer than 10 hours on high it was more like 15 hours. When our power was restored after 6 days we are no using the fan to push air down the hallway to warm it since we have a fire box in the living room. On medium low it ran for over 24 hours. My dad swears its the best battery hes ever seen in his life and he looks forward to using it for his saw and screw gun. He will be getting one for christmas.

You are getting what you paid for
Yes, it is SO MUCH BETTER than those cheap Chinese batteries. Spend the money and get this, not that cheap overseas piece of junk for the unbelievably low price. I wasted my money on those, won't do it again.

Lots of power
This is a big battery that holds a lot of power. It is great for bigger tasks, such as powering a reciprocating saw for a long time. If you occasionally drill a hole or two, it is overkill. The biggest issue is weight: this battery is heavy. I have used it with my random orbit sander, and the battery is heavier than the tool. This can be a little difficult to control, but worth it when I have to spend an hour or more sanding (this battery will not last an hour of continuous use - I still need to swap out batteries). If you use power-hungry tools like powerful saws, or are using a lighter tool like a sander but for a longer period of time, this battery is worth having. Otherwise, probably not. The only issue I have with it is price. But the newer power tool batteries are all expensive regardless of brand. Milwaukee and Mikita are guilty of this, too. But you also get far better quality and life than off-brand batteries. AvE and Project Farm on YouTube go into detail, testing and tearing apart these batteries. You really do get better-quality cells when you buy a DeWalt v the generic brand. Some of the knock-offs also save cost by omitting some of the safety circuitry, such as the parts that shut it down if the battery overheats (which can be lethal with Lithium ion that close to your body).

Sold as used like new - so far, so good. Shipped promptly, packed OK, arrived OK. ** See update **
*** Second update, December *** Looks like it went toes-up yesterday after being fully-charged and then fully discharged. After all the charge it could accept, showed only 1 green bar, and would not run the blower for more than a second. I guess we can't believe "used, like new". Will let Amazon know, but I do not expect any adjustment from anyone. ** Update in November, after a number of months: ** First, the battery seems to perform well enough on a fresh charge, but (subjectively, to me) seems not to have the runtime of either a Flexvolt 6A or a new 5A. It is quite usable, but has to be charged earlier than expected. It was sold as "used, like new" at a somewhat reduced price, but were I to do it again, I would buy the new item. While the item looked new cosmetically, I suspect it of being a return with a bit too much mileage. Of course, my perceptions could be off, but I recommend buying only DeWalt batteries known to be new. For this item at least, the saving wasn't enough to be worth it. To be clear, the only use has been on a blower, where the original 5A battery had performed satisfactorily throughout its warranty period. It does make a difference when one is "raking" many oak leaves. I knocked off one star, only in respect of the used item. New DeWalt batteries have so far been 5 stars. It appears to be a DeWalt battery in good condition, sold used like new. Discounted enough to be worth checking out. Haven't done more than charge it and run a leaf blower (DCBL720) for a short time. The price was comparable to a 5A battery. The battery has bulk similar to the Flexvolt 6A, so it isn't ideal for every tool; the 5A is more compact. However, the 5A battery that came with the blower (purchased late 2019) was getting tired, and this fits, so good economy and

Frustrated - this battery died after only 1 year
I purchased this battery almost exactly 1 year ago for use on my Dewalt string trimmer. It failed today. The string trimmer just shut off while in use. The charge "gauge" showed nothing. When I plugged it into the charger, I eventually got the dreaded fast-flashing red light (bad battery pack). I tried "resetting" it by briefly connecting to another battery. When I returned it to the charger, it appeared to charge normally for about 3 seconds and then returned to the fast flash. Sadly, I'm pretty heavily invested in the Dewalt 20V Max and will have to drop some serious coin for a replacement.

I bought this for my DeWalt fan as the batteries I was using (the ones that come with the drills) didn’t last long enough. I use to travel with two of the drill batteries and they would both be dead by the end of the day with the fan on low. So far, I have used this battery three weekends in a row and it has lasted with the fan on low-medium for two days in a row without charging. I would say run time for the fan is between 6-8 hours (on and off several times) each day as I use it at trials for my dogs. It’s a bit heavier than my drill batteries, but not too bad. I love that you can see how much charge is left by pressing a button. It also doesn’t take long to charge!
