This is a high quality product that should last years. As other reviews stated, it is a little large, but still fits my Pulaski axe, a vintage Tru Temper head from the 1930’s. I trimmed the excess length from the connecting strap and sealed the leather with Sno Seal and it looks and works great.

Got this to protect my fire axe and it is doing the job.Really, not much else to say. It’s well constructed and will obviously last a long time.

A little bigger that I expected and had to go down to the last hole in the strap. Overall, leather, stitching and riveting looks good. Needs a little leather conditioner but should last a long time.

This item fit my pulaski tool perfectly. It is constructed of thick leather and stiched with heavy guage thread. Critical points along the stiched edges are riveted for durability. One critical rivet near the beginning of a stitching line was completely missing. I debated sending this back for an exchange, but decided to keep the sheath rather than deal with the delay of replacement. If necessary, I will just add a rivet. Otherwise, build quality and fit appears excellent.

The Pulaski axe is a dangerous tool to leave uncovered because of it's sharp edges. This cover perfectly eliminates that danger by covering both ends.

I wrote before this was very dry and drank up a whole lot of neatsfoot oil. It does cover my old time "Flint edge". I'll never use it, but now I wont cut myself with it in the house.

Carry a shovel and other tools in my truck for emergencies. for years made-do with a self-constructed cardboard cover to keep my (very) sharp pulaski from getting knicked or cutting the equipment bag more. This is better and doesn't look like an idiot just wrapped something around the head.

I bought this axe guard for a new Council Tool Pulaski axe that I recently purchased. It is very well built with thick, quality leather and a prfect fit for the intended axe. I rubbed in a mink oil water proofing treatment, because it has nothing from what I could tell. I love it!
