For the price I paid, a good product
I knew I wanted one of these things, and found a pretty good price on Amazon. It arrived today, and was packaged really well (from the manufacturer. Amazon just put a couple air bags on one side of the box, as usual). So, I ordered a blue one, and as you can see fro the first pic - that was the packaging. But inside was a white one. Not a huge deal for me, as I was going to paint it black anyway. Turns out that the finish is really great for rattlecan art.Tested it before I painted it, and it actually does improve the sound from my iphone 5s (a little)

amazing how much a small box of wood costs
Simple design, amazing how much a small box of wood costs. Also, the edge inside the wood can cut your iphone cord, so be careful (it cut mine).

Five Stars
It's exactly as described, a block of wood to hold my phone. Painted a snazzy red too! I love it, everything fits and is cut well and to work .

Duh, not a speaker.
I guess I was behind the door when the description was handed out. (There were no helpful reviews from you wonderful Amazon customers, as yet.) I thought this was a speaker, and when I opened the box, it even felt heavy like a speaker. Silly goose, was I. The app, that downloads quickly, is the face of your iPhone 5, and that's cool. It only shows horizontally, and it has an ingenious touch-screen-way to soften and brighten the light of your iPhone on your nightstand. I was hopeful of a nightstand clock face that I could see at night without lighting up my bedroom. No go. As nice as the clock face is, it's too bright for me. I'm still laughing at myself for thinking this was a speaker. I'm such an optimist, that I even tried hooking it up by Bluetooth. So, this is basically a groovy-cut piece of wood or plastic that has a couple holes for your iPhone cord to poke out and charge your iPhone. You need a cord and a plug-in adapter. I could see this on a shelf in a kitchen or living room, where you just need a place to charge your phone.

Only one real drawback
I love this thing. It looks great. I use a different app for the clock, but it is a great idea. The one thing I've realized since purchasing this is that the first thing I do when I enter the bedroom, day or night, is look at the clock to see what time it is. Now I still don't know that, because the clock is in my pocket.I will live. This is a great item and I don't regret it at all. We bought two, one for each nightstand, and they look fantastic.

Doesn't really fit the old wide charger cords
Fits the iPhone 4 phones, but the old cord just barely fits the hole provided. Had to sand down the sides of the cord to get it to fit. Looks great otherwise.

Disappointed and the price shouldn't stand
Disappointed and the price shouldn't stand. It just a decorative that all. All I put cables through the back of hole and plug in with iPhone 5s. It seems hassle for charging by plug in and out also the iPhone is not steady to hold when slide in alarm clocks .
