Very happy with this book, up beat and colorful

Good close up photography, clear instructions and patterns for quilts to practice your new skills, everything you could wish for to help introduce you to applique by both hand and machine. If you are a left handed sewer the photographs in the hand sewing section feature close up photographs for both left and right handed sewers!

The book is just what I was looking for, it arrived in like new condition just when the seller told me it would. It was recommend for a class I took on hand appliqué and it gives me step by step of each and every technique I learned plus unexpectedly it contains a number of full sized patterns, I will refer to this book a lot.

I am just learning these techniques and it will be an excellent reference as are all her books. I keep them available on the shelf and share them with my quilting buddies.

As with all of her books, Alex Anderson has great ideas for the beginner, as well as reminders for the more advanced quilters. She continues to have clear photos of her instructions. I have several of her other books and refer to them often, depending on the skill I want to learn.
