i have a singer sewing machine that i swear loves to break needles, i was down to my last needle size 100/16 because i use the thinnest needles for my cotton and extremely thin vintage fabrics. i placed the order just in time because no sooner than it got here snap went my last needle and i needed to finish my dress! i was doing a beautiful scalloped trim on my neckline and hem of my dress so i chose the 100/16 needles and i have to say these are sharper than the ones i was using from singer! no snagging my fabric, no pills and no more getting caught in my machine! I am going to order a few more boxes, because i am still learning to slow sew, and i break needles when i don't slow sew. so far this needle has taken a beating today and has held up perfectly! I just have to say please keep these in stock! the needle breaker in me will thank you!

Hubby is a professional stitcher, and makes fancy custom costumes for people. It is common that he goes through half a dozen needles or more on a project. At the rate he goes through needles, buying at the local sewing or craft store just is not fiscally responsible of us.Normally when I write a review, I write likes and dislikes, but for this one, things are a bit simpler. These are identical to the sewing needles we normally buy for his heavy duty singer sewing machines, and just cost less. We even like the box it comes in, and will repurpose it once we get through all the needles it currently houses. If you are on the fence, and sew a lot. Do some quick math, and I believe you will find this is a great value for the money.

This is my standard needle for bag making. These, on a singer heavy duty, plow through canvas seam buildup on gussets like it's muslin.

I am a bad person who sews over pins in thick fabric. These are perfect for me. High quality. Buying in bulk saves me tons of money.

Great product at good price.

Schmitz makes great needles. They are precision tools. They get dull, occasionally get bent or broken and don't work. If you're having problems with these you should probably check your machine, have it serviced or cleaned.

Packaged well. Arrived unscathed. No rust or bends seen. They work as expected. Always need needles around
