I GET THESE TO LISTEN TO MUSIC MY PARENTS ENJOYED..IN THE 1920s AND 1930s ..I AM OVER 80SO MY AGE WAS THE 40s AND 50s...BUT THIS MUSIC HAS A SOUND THAT ALMOST MAKES YOU FEELTHATYOU ARE IN THE DANCE HALL WATCHING THES SEXY DANCES TO THE SPECIFIC SOUND OF THE 20s AND 30sTHERE IS PAUL WHITEMAN AND LOUIS ARMSTRONG NUMBERS AND MANY BANDS AND SINGERS I NEVERHEARD OF....THEY DO HAVE ROCK AND ROLL CONCERTS AND R&B BUT NEVER THISBY THE WAY RUDY VALLEE AND HELEN KANE ARE UTTER DELIGHTS

This is a perfect compilation of some of the jazz greats of the 20s and 30s. I used this CD (and others) for my college Jazz History Class and the students also enjoyed it as well!

Past Perfect are the definitive masters of upgrading scratchy recordings from the days before studios had tape recorders - their achievements are amazing. This 'Jazz Age!' album is the 4th I've bought, and doubtless not the last!

Bet not many 70+ ladies drive like a bat out of hell to this style of music. Love it and the other one I bought. Love ragtime😀

The music on these discs is wonderful - as I knew it would be, knowing most of the artists. But what must be stressed is the marvellous job Past Perfect have done in providing the music with clear and vibrant sound quality, without in any way losing the true resonance and richness of the recordings of the period.

I found it mostly laid back Jazz. I like Jazz with a bit of life to it. This selection sent me off to sleep several times while I was listening to it.
