Works great.
The device is exactly what you'd want for a point to point wireless MIDI connection base station. Used in a system with CME's WIDI-core remote module, it pairs reliably. Latency is as advertised (3mS) in any reasonable signal condition but seems to increase a bit right before you reach range limits. The overall range of the is not huge, but certainly adequate. A range improvement could be had using the CME WIDI-core module which uses an external Bluetooth antenna, if you have room for that (which I didn't). Bluetooth paring is always a sketchy business, but in normal operation this kit is as good as I've seen and will not be an issue. The only troubles I had were during the external firmware development process where I smacked it around in ways that would not be found in normal operation, so I don't count that against CME. CME handles the acquisition and loss of lock to the remote system well: it seems to provide "ALL NOTES OFF" on loss of lock and at first acquisition of lock. This is vital to avoid embarrassing stuck notes. All in all, very satisfied and will use CME's products in future projects.

Work great and works if you only need MIDI in!!!
I can’t tell you how happy this device makes me. I needed Bluetooth MIDI, but only need to connect to the MIDI IN port of a device (synth) with bluetooth to my iPad. Every other Bluetooth MIDI device I have tried requires power from the midi out port so you have to connect both and for my purposes that was creating problems. This one can be powered by a USB cable independently. Works perfectly with only IN to synth connected (so I can send patch change messages from iPad). Hooray and hallelujah!!!! Thank you!!! (You do have to pay attention to the little arrows on the device, which tell you which is in and which is out.)

Brought my player piano back to life!
Brought my 40 year old player piano system back to life. A miracle device. If replaced my not-working controller unit and sent midi songs to the piano's CPU and made the piano sing.

Truly plug and play
I bought one of the bluetooth midi systems that are half the price and just couldn't get it working. To be fair, it was listed as a frequently returned item. I reeturned it and bought the WIDI. It paired easily and worked immediately. It was worth paying up for no frustration.

Perfect for EWI
working intermittently for EWI 5000. 2023 Update: No longer for my EWI 5000 to Garageband/DAW software connection. CME app updated firmware to 0.1.7.7. Now doesn’t work. At all! It doesn’t pass commands through BLE from EWI 5000 to Ventura, IOS 16.3 on either my New IPad Pro 2022 nor my 2022 IPhone 13 Pro Max. All OS do pickup signal. BLE app does connect logically. But, nothing passes to DAW nor standalone VSt packs/apps. What’s going on?!!

Easy to use, versatile, perfect for Roland accordion
So easy to set up. I didn't even use the app and this connected to my ESP32 BLE-MIDI device without any special setup. I like that you can use one or both of the MIDI inputs, depending on the need. My Roland accordion, has only one MIDI port, so i just plugged this in, and luckily the Roland provides power over MIDI so no separate power required for the WIDI device. Good bye MIDI cables!

Wicked cool
I use this with a keytar controller that only has DIN MIDI out. It works perfectly. I can pair it directly with an iPad or Mac without a specific receiver, however the latency varies due to those devices having inherent Bluetooth midi latency. The iOS devices have higher latency than MacOS. I’m fine with the latency on MacOS (M1 Mac), but if I used this for stage purposes then I would buy a USB dongle from CME for the Mac for the absolute lowest latency.

Cool toy but not ready for prime time
Great form factor and super easy connectivity to my iPad. Noticeable latency and intermittent responsiveness failures simply don’t allow this to be used for serious playing or gigging. Tried it with Korg Module, Ravenscroft Piano and Garage Band apps for iPad and used StudioLogic SL73 as midi controller.

Fonctionne parfaitement avec clavier maître Nux NTK37 sur la sortie midi vers Bluetooth de l’iPad. Parfait si on veux garder le port USB pour alimenter l’iPad ou le clavier. Pas de latence.
