Impressed with Chuck
The media could not be loaded. Overjoyed with my purchase! This chuck (who shall henceforth be referred to as “Chuck”) has impressed me at every opportunity.Considering Chuck’s sturdiness and quality, the price is very reasonable. Chuck will likely outlive the every other tool I’ve bought for my lathe (Including the lathe).I’ve had a few accidental flying bowls and exploding sticks, but Chuck don’t care. Chuck remains strong. Chuck keeps doing what Chuck’s always done. Holding secure and looking good whilst doing it. We should all strive for a fraction of the strength Chuck possesses. Also Chuck has a fantastic box and is very well presented.Chuck has increased my capabilities as a wood turner and I eagerly look forward to using Chuck in future projects.

Solid bit of kit
Bought this after reading the reviews. It took a while to be delivered but I was ok with that. Once it arrived it has everything needed for a beginner. It’s really heavy and feels well built. I regressed the jaws. The adapter that it came with for my lathe so super happy with that. No complaints

addition to an already very good chuck
Got these as the chuck they fit came with the flatter jaws. Been using them a lot (entirely in fact) for drilling pen blanks on the lathe. Way better and more accurate than doing it on the pillar drill and I'm aware these jaws have other uses which I've yet to explore. A good purchase and I may get the third type of jaws to complete the accessories for this chuck.

Hi I bought the chuck from machine mart & it is a pain in the but so I found this oneIt fits the Clarke lathe with the adapter it comes with it self centers it is magic I have never left a review before but this is so good I thought I had to

Does what for my needs fair priceCould have done with a other items pamphlet but happy with purchase anyway

Doesn't stay locked
The chuck mostly works as long as you use it in a recess, but if you try and grip a tenon then it just unscrews itself and launches your woodwork project across the shed / barn / workshop / garage.Regret buying it.
