Game Changer.
I love this product. This is my second pair, I unfortunately snapped my first pair by stepping on them in the dark, but they still work! I love the over the ear feeling, haven't been able to stand anything in my ears. I enjoy being able to hear what's around me as well as hearing what I'm listening to perfectly. They fit perfectly, easily hide behind hair. The are comfortable, and last a long time on their charge, also, they can charge very quickly. They look good when you wear them, and they're extremely durable. I would absolutely purchase them again and again and again, because they are completely worth the money.

Amazing Customer Service, great product, needs a tweek for perfect
I ordered these after trying an off brand on Amazon. The off brand was adequate but had a lot of sound bleed. When I received my first pair of Shokz Open Runs they were AWESOME. extremely light, flexible, comfortable, I could wear all day without a headache, sounded great, and battery lasted ALL DAY!!! These were my go to headset for about two months. One day they bugged out and started triggering my hands free assistant. After charging them overnight, as I usually do, they were unresponsive. The warranty claim was easy to initiate but was overall slower than expected turn around time. About fourish weeks from starting a claim to receiving a new headset. Still, receiving a new headset was a plus. Used my replacement headset for about two weeks and the very same thing happened again. Called the warranty number and talked to a real person in Texas. I explained and he asked me how long I charge the unit for. I responded overnight. He said thats probably why they keep shorting out.... What? Its 2023. I havent had to time how long I charge something since I was a child and bought my toys at Radio Shack back in 1980. He told me it takes 2-3 hours to charge completely. Anything more may damage the battery. I asked is there no battery overcharge protection built into a $130 pair of headphones and he said no. Seriously good customer service experience overall but the product itself is lacking in durability. I don't have the time or brain power to remember to take a pair of headphones off the charger before they get damaged. After going over the included instructions, I can find no mention of charging times, however I do see operating temperatures and environments appropriate to its use. As seen in the photo, it states 32°-113°F. I work outside, in hot muggy Missouri,I sweat, profusely. I guess if you plan on sweating, don't use these outside in the summer, or winter, and plan your day around babysitting the charging of your headset, these might be the headset for you. I am returning mine for a refund. I hate giving low star rating. However no amount of customer service or usability can out weigh durability and an obvious flaw. I have hafld dozens of BT headsets from $-$$$. All of which have lasted years, charging overnight or longer. Please fix this issue and I would repurchase and give 6 stars if I could. UPDATE About two days after i emailed the company for an exchange (the refund window closed at 45 days) i was emailed a return lable. Less than a week after I made the phone call mentioned above, I received a replacement (and then some) in the mail. The product may have an issue but the 100% customers experience really does make up for the inconvenience. Keep innovative and refining your product, keep your A+ customer service, and you will dominate the wireless sound market.

It's great! Needs a button on each ear to be perfect.
LOVE these headphones, worn them daily for nearly a year because they're so much more comfortable than earbuds and I can actually hear the world around me. I have a pretty big head so I was concerned about the wrap around on the standard size but it fits perfectly. The grey color I got is a perfect subtle color to wear while working, half the time people barely notice I'm wearing them. I like how I can simply turn them on and it connects automatically. The magnetic charger is a luxury feature I didn't know I was missing until I had it. They've lasted me almost a year of wearing them constantly at work. I just now had my first sign of wear on them, the speaker inside the right headphone just shook loose of whatever glue holds it to the plastic so as I shake my head I can hear the speaker jingle around. Speaker still works for now but I'm in the market for a replacement and I'm strongly considering just buying a duplicate pair because it has (almost) everything I want. My only complaint the entire time I've owned them is I want a button on the left hand side to pause/play. Often times I'm at work doing something messy and I only have one clean hand to pause my music if someone asks me something. Adding a second button would take my review from 4/5 to 5/5.

Love the brand
Tues, Aug 25, 2026 Shortly after submitting my warranty request, Shokz got back to me and will be honoring their warranty. I've adjust my rating to 5 stars because it is a great product with great customer support. Sun, Aug 25 2026 I'd like to start off that I've been using this openrun headphones since 2020, and live them. So great for running, biking, or doing chores cause you're able to still hear your surroundings. That said, I feel like the quality has gone down someone. Its almost been a year since I purchased these but the battery level has gone down significantly and there are issues with my microphone. People on the other side of a call say it sounds like I'm speaking through robot voice box. Going to keep it at 2 stars for now while I go through the warranty process, and will update afterwards. I've only submitted a warranty claim once before and in the past, there warranty process was great. %hat was back when they were still Aftershokz though, so we'll see if anything has changed since their new name.

I do recommend
I love these headphones; they are easy to use. My daughter gave me the "Mini" version, though I think the regular size is better for anyone over the age of 20. Still, I love using them. I have the regular model too, but I like this one because the band fits all the way over the top of my head, whereas the other one only reaches halfway down—just below the ears. That other one seems better suited for smaller people or children—maybe up to age 12, I’d say. But these are wonderful and work really well. They don't bother my ears at all; I used to wear a different pair that caused me a lot of ear pain, but these are perfect—they don't cause any discomfort whatsoever.

Extremely surprised at the sound wuality!
Incredible sound, very lightweight. I’m a 69yo guy, listen to my classic 60s/70s rock while doing my daily walk. Songs I’ve been listening to for 60 years are suddenly divulging sounds I’ve never heard before. Even going back to my big stereo days with the huge headphones, or later, with Bose speakers, I’ve never heard some of the things I’m hearing. I figured they’d be OK to keep me entertained on my walks, but I’m just blown away by the sound quality. Also like that they’re not over-the-top-of-your-head style, and I just can’t deal with in-ear buds. These sit nicely just outside the ear. I iften forget I have them on after turning the music off. They are that unobtrusive. Everybody needs a pair! Can’t beat the price for this much quality.

Comfortable and doesn't block your ears
These are my first pair of bone conduction open-ear headphones, and I loved them. At first I had to get used to the slight vibration, but now I love them. Sometimes when I go out I just have them on the whole time even when they are not being used most of the time. I like that I can be out shopping in a loud store and still hear my phone ring through these, without having to put on earbuds that block out my surroundings, which to me is a no-no when I'm out and about, for safety reasons. Took me a while to figure out the play/pause button is on the the bud on the left side Have a hard time hearing my audiobooks on very loud places like the train, but besides that sound is great on both music and calls. So far I've had no issue with the battery life, I charge them every two to three days since I only use them when I go out, so far so good The one thing I wasn't too happy about was the charger. I ordered the magnetic charging ones instead of the USB-C ones during Prime Days on Amazon. I wasn't going to buy a bunch of specialized cables for one piece of tech, and plugging and unplugging the one cable to move around the house seems like a pain to me. I ended up just buying a pack of adapters that go from USB-C to magnetic charger, I keep on on my keychain, and one at my desk, while the original cable is plugged in by my bed, works out great. P.S.: They also come with a nice little headband as a bonus.

Great value especially when purchased on sale
Really impressed with these, especially for the price I paid on sale. They’re comfortable, easy to use and the sound quality is great for everyday use. Very happy with the purchase.

Perfect for Exercise
Great for working out in the gym or outside. Clear sound quality and you barely know they are there after a few wears. Good build quality and lightweight. Battery life exceeded expectations.

44 months after use review
I had been struggling to find a headphone/earplug for running. I spent some amount of money trying out cheap alternatives. including some Chinese ones that i got someone to get from Canada. Finally i decided to get these. the reason being 1. Great battery back up 2. Comfortable 3. easy to pair with my cell phone 3. Waterproof. Though on slightly expensive side(my take) they are worth it. Lasted 44 months and over 2200 km. In all weather. Longest use 6.5 hrs

Fantastic for runners and cyclists
The Shokz Open Runs use bone conduction technology that lets you listen to music, while still being aware of your surroundings. Note that if you are looking for a pair of earbuds that have excellent noise cancelling (these have none at all) or good sound quality, this is NOT where you should be looking. These are designed specifically for people who want to be aware of their surroundings while they are running or cycling. I decided to buy these because I was tired of having my earbuds fall out of my ears while I'm running, and also felt like it was not very safe running around and not being able to hear your surroundings at all. I don't find them very good for the gym, since they have a wrap around band on the back, so they will get in the way if you do any exercise where your head is resting against a bench (also gyms typically like to play extremely loud music, so you probably won't be able to hear anything). As a runner, these are great. They stay in firmly place (even with lots of rain and sweat), are very comfortable (wore it for a long 2-3 hour run with no problems), and you will be able to hear everything around you, which is pretty important if you train near roads where there are a lot of cars and other people. The bluetooth range is perfectly good, I pair it up with my Garmin 255 and I have had no issues with dropouts (I have noticed that a lot of cheaper bluetooth headphones often drop out while you are running). The only downside is that the audio quality is OK at best, and they perform pretty averagely once you turn up the volume. That being said, audio quality is not what I'm looking for in a pair of earbuds specifically made for running. Definitely a must have if you are a runner or cyclist. If you are using it for anything else, I would look elsewhere.
