XS Sight Systems RU-5000R-N GRA Ruger Gun Site Scout Rifle Rail

This is a very high quality product that fits perfectly and which provides a solid base for a heavy scope. I found it was simple to fit. The built in rear sight is immediately usable, though I had to remove mine to obtain the necessary clearance for the optic. This was very easy to do. I particularly like this rail because of its overall length. I need to mount sights well forward to achieve correct eye relief and there is plenty of spare space here. It is a shame that Amazon UK do not seem to have this product any more, but it is available from Brownells UK.

A perfect fit for my Ruger Gunsite Scout! Sturdy looking piece, came with the wrench, screws and the thread locker to install it. New scope should be here today and we'll field test them both together this weekend! Had to edit to add this: It has the larger than stock rear ghost ring sight. It seems to line up with my laser nicely but a visit to the range will tell all. Just what I wanted when I bought the rifle a year ago and ended up drilling the factory one out. So now with this rail I have the best of both worlds, ghost ring iron sights and a 50mm scope! Took the rifle out to the range to sight in the new scope and the iron sights on the new rail. My new scope bases came loose and left marks on the rail. My own fault for not double checking the base screws. I fired around 60 rounds of 7.62 NATO for sighting in the scope and the iron sights at 250 yards. was able to keep a 2.5 inch shot group. Iron peep sight had to be adjusted about 1/16th inch to the left and a turn down for zero. Simple adjustment with only the one allen wrench to carry. I highly recommend this rail! Was able to take down 2 feral hogs this week.

Easy to install. Gives you a platform that has both an iron sight option as well as a location for mounting a quick detach scope. Love this mount. Best purchase this year and the price for what you get is fantastic.

Really a great product. When I bought the used Ruger 308 Scout, it was missing the Pictanny rail and rear aperture sight. Started the search and was able to find rail but rear sight was an issue. Then came along XS Sight Systems. A full length scope rail with rear aperture integrated in the rail. Got it in today. It's mounted on weapon and I will be trying it out this weekend. Fit perfect and had all hardware included. Thank you XS

Install took 10 seconds flat. Most time consuming part is loctiting each screw with the included adhesive. Looks and performs great. Weaver rings fit on this as well, as seen in the picture. How this isn’t factory with the scout.. I do not know.
