Rockport Men's Darwyn 2 Slide Sandal

Great quality shoe, bought as a replacement sandal for my husband. The leather color is blended well throughout the shoe, does not fade. Has great comfort as he walk, supporting his moderately flat feet , helping to keep his knee, ankle and feet aligned to prevent knee pain, this was occurring in his other leather sandals. He tells me the shoe cushion is great, even as he walk for at least 30 minutes in the shoes (on concrete, asphalt or sand). Might I add these sandals go well with casual shorts and/or linen outfits. I would've purchased in the two additional colors (dark brown and black) but they were not available at the time of this purchase.

Super comfortable but my feet don't quite fit right in them but will keep them because they feel sooooo good! Nice looking sandal and I like the Rockport brand. So here is the story, I bought these one size bigger like the ad and reviews suggested with "try before you buy", I am an 11W so I ordered 12W. Ordered them the day before Amazon Prime Day, next day they were discounted so I contacted support thru Chat. I told them the price came down could they adjust my invoice, they said their prices fluctuate all the time and they don't price match. So, I ordered a second 12W - what a waist of money for Amazon they could have just price adjusted and saved the return shipping and shipping fees but no. I never tried the the first 12W but when I got the second pair they were too big, couldn't even see my toes, so I sent them back and ordered an 11.5W got them and they weren't too bad but still seemed a bit too long you could only see my first three toes (see attached photo). So I sent them back and ordered an 11W (my normal size), got them and they were way too small. I was going to get a different brand at this point but decided to go back to the 11.5W. These sandals are so soft and comfy I love them but they look a little odd on my foot, I have a high instep and the band around the foot is too wide and doesn't allow my foot to go all the way to the front. Anyway, keeping them and enjoying them.

In the case of this sandal. Good deal as long as you understand.

You really have to force your foot in, otherwise you heel hangs out on the back seem, which is uncomfortable. Once foot fully in the foam is comfy, but if you get them wet, you will make squelching noises.

They are very comfortable. Like walking on clouds. I wear a size 10.30 in shoe size and I wear 11 and a half with this sandal.

I would give these five stars if only their sizing were accurate. I have owned 3 pairs of Rockport sandals/slippers/shoes and they have all lasted a long time and been made to a high standard of quality. That said, every tome over many years (a decade or more now) the sizing is OFF.I am an 11 WIDE foot and have been for every brand for the entirety of my adult life, over 40 years now. Rockport shoes are always a size smaller than what is listed. When I buy size 11 wide they are entirely too small and threaten to break my feet, going up even half a size is not enough. I needed to buy 12 wides to get a shoe that just begins to fit snug (a 12.5 wide might have been a better choice but I’m giving these time to ‘wear in’).Rockport listen up: fix your sizing, it has been years now!

Comfortable

Zuerst das Gute - Nähte einwandfrei - Sohle robust gutes Material - Oberleder weich und in Kombination mit der weichen Innensohle sehr angenehm zu tragen - aber die Größenangabe passt nicht ganz - etwas zu klein geraten für 42,5 !! aber meiner Frau passen sie-darum haben wir sie behalten - ansonsten wären es 5 Punkte gewesen !

My foot length is 24.5cm and I ordered size US8 (EU41). The sandals are a bit small and narrow. People really need to order at least one size bigger than usual for this item. For me, I should have ordered 'Wide' as well. They are very comfortable to my feet and thanks for the memory foam shock absorbing design. They are also well made with thick leather, so it keeps the shape of the sandals very well. I just need to return them and order one size bigger and wide width.
