JablonexCzech Glass Seed Beads Size 6/0 (1 Ounce) (Aquamania, 6/0)

AMENDMENT: After buying Top-Brand Famous-Maker 6/0 seed beads, these seem to be more like a size 8/0. Maybe a "7/0" - but the point is, they're noticeably smaller and I cannot use them with my Famous-Maker 6/0 beads because the difference is obvious. If I do design some knitting where the size difference becomes part of the design, they'll work together. The color is very close. These also are glass that's colored all the way through, and it's fairly sturdy as well, so I'll definitely be able to use them - just not in this specific project.- More annoying is that the hole size is less consistent than that of the Famous-Maker 6/0 beads. A number of them are too small even for my 0.75mm crochet hook, arrgh! I can't knit with those...-------------------------------- On my monitor, the color is spot-on-precise - the only "setting" I have on the monitor is factory-RGB with a wee bit less red. Since monitors do vary, I'll also note that the color is very much like the natural turquoise stones I've seen. - These beads are indeed glass, and GOOD glass at that - surprisingly sturdy! They also are colored all the way through, not just painted or dyed, HOORAY!, so the color will remain true even if some wear occurs.- They seem to me to be consistent in size, and the holes also seem to be consistent - and easily accommodate a US-#10/1.15mm crochet hook (Susan Bates) with a loop of #10 Red Heart crochet cotton on it =:-D

I didn’t like the price once I realized how much I was getting but needed them for a gift. They looked like the ones I get from Hobby Lobby and you get so much more for less (on sale) there. If there isn’t one near you then it’s ok.

They’re very pretty, but the holes vary in size & the beads vary in length, especially the the opaque colors. Most are usable, but the variability is disappointing.

I love this tiny beads. They are perfect for my project, they come in different colors.

So, yeah. I’m the person that gets assorted beads and sorts them.This mix is 90% transparent beads. Now, if you like transparent beads, you will love this, or at least 90% worth. But for me, I was hoping for a more diverse mix, and am not a fan of transparent beads, so this mix isn’t really my thing. The colors are pretty, I just wish it was more evenly distributed among the bead types.And of course, Czech beads are not consistent in size like their Japanese counterparts. I don’t mind that...makes my projects look more rustic. But if you’re looking for uniformity, look further east.So if I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t buy this mix. I’m going to see if I can come up with a project for these beads since I already broke open the seal on the package and spent time organizing the bead soup.

not sure that these are Czech glass. lots of odd ones in the mix, more than what can be expected of standard deviations. maybe it has something to do with the color? idk it would be nice to get some clarification. every dozen i pick up there are ones that are not bored well at all, even for the thinnest Nymo thread i use..edit: i recently bought some cobalt blue Czech glass seed beads in the same size from a different supplier. the shades are very close, the difference is almost imperceptible. anyway, i have not had the same problems with badly incomplete holes like this product. tbh i will probably not order more items that Beadaholique sells through Amazon. they have become the last to ship in my groupings and take longer to arrive. i've had similar experiences ordering directly from their site. at first i thought eh they are a newer company, still getting it together. but i no longer feel like giving them the benefit of the doubt, and this subpar offering is pretty much the last straw for me. i thought wow, what a good price, why not. and fine, if they are sort of the shabbiest of the batches, just let us know.
